Star wars fans will love this movie.

I thought it was a good movie and so did my 10 year old son. He can't wait till the next one comes out. It starts out a little slow but 15 minutes in and you are hooked. Has lot of action, good story, and some humor. It is worth the money to see this on the big screen. Kids will love this!!!

    Star Wars Fans Rejoice

My wife and I took our 4 grandchildren (Ages 2 -7) to the the movie this evening. My boys and I have always been big Star Wars fans and my wife has tolerated our love of the movies and the books. All four grandchildren loved the movie, I was suprised how much I enjoyed it and my wife proclaimed it a good movie. It had lots of action and a pretty good story. I found myself laughing at the interaction between Anakin Skywalker and his new padawan learner and I was able to enjoy the movie even though it was made in a comic book style.

If your a Star Wars fan I say don't miss it.

    For the kids

I'm not a die hard Star Wars fan. I married into the culture. SO when in Rome :) I thought it was good. As we walked out though I heard sounds of disappointment from the older fans. This movie was to hook a whole new group of kids to the life that is Star Wars.
    .
So this is my review... Seeing anything on the big screen is fun. Kids who love Star Wars as mine do will love this.F.Y.I. boy and girl 10 and 13. If you are a fan who has read all the books and comics and really took the time to "study" Star Wars, you may walk out lacking something. My children did see the differences in the clone wars cartoons on dvd from this movie. I say see it but go to the early show and save a few bucks you might be ticked to spend $9 bucks on this one. FOR PARENTS Clone Wars is about the war and if your child is sensitive to that be aware no blood but a lot of clones get taken out.

    Star wars Clone Wars

I am really disappointed in this film. I am an animator by trade and short of being a snob I would like to impart that this movie is bad. The story line is awful and the animation was an insult. This movie was made as an attempt to erase what cartoon network had already released as the clone wars saga. If you want a good star wars clone wars then I suggest you look into the 2d cartoon made for cartoon network. It was engaging and fulfilled what fans want to see from the star wars universe. This film is an insult and its interest is only after demeaning an already good story and selling merchandising.

    I said good day sir!!

MUST GO for Kids who love Star Wars, GO if a Star War's fan, and 50-50 if not into Star Wars to much

Personally, I am an insane fan of Star Wars, and love basically everything George Lucas has his hand in. Going to this movie I expected a lot, and didn't get everything...I set the goal to high and still greatly enjoyed the movie. My 7 year old brother, who is also an insane fan, liked this better then the live action saga.. Bottom line-It's Star Wars. It has all the amazing action it's always had, lightsaber duels, huge battles, etc. The only thing it lacked was a more serious tone as the saga does, so to me it was like watching a cartoon...a really good one none-the-less. Just go into it thinking what it is, a cartoon.
Great animation, action, sound effects, music was weird at points, but also I thought it had better (then original serious) music at times. You totally should go, and take some kids that like Star Wars, it will make you even happier knowing that they're happy too :)

    Different but GREAT

    by tp1988

Well, I'm a die-hard fan, and I read the novels. I read the Clone Wars novel prior to seeing the movie, which colored my view of the movie slightly since there were some minor differences. However, I love-love-loved the movie.

Just a warning to major fans, though: don't go expecting that classic crawling text and that first grand shot. It starts rather abruptly. There are also some little things that were added for comedic value that might be slightly off-putting to the die-hard fan. But you know what? Take it in stride. The story is good, the voices were pretty good, too, and the overall look was fantastic. Don't take my word for it, though. Go see the movie, and judge for yourself!

Don't know what some of you are thinking

I thought the movie was pretty good, definetly not one of Lucas's best, but good none the less. The story line was clear and easy to follow, the animation look really well done, and the actions was almost none stop from begining to end. Really don't see what some of you out there that said it was no good, BEFORE it came out, where talking about.

    Star Wars: Clone Wars

The movie is geared more towards the younger crowd but as a Star Wars fan and father of a seven year old we both enjoyed this start to the animated series. There is much more action and less story telling but the graphics are very good. If you have kids take them to the theatre, if you're an older fan wait for DVD.

Better Than Expected...Die Hard SW Fans Won't Be Disappointed

    by J.Gill

I'll admit, I wasn't too excited about revisiting this section of the Star Wars saga. I've seen enough clones and over sized battle scenes to hold me over for a while, but this movie is more than that. Animated in part Genndy Tartakovsky (Star Wars: Clone Wars, 2003) and part state-of-the-art ILM realistic special effects, 'The Clone Wars' is easy on the eyes. Combine that with an interesting story line packed with more action and less visits to the council chambers and yes, you have some good old fashion Star Wars fun. There's even quite a bit of humor through out which is refreshing considering how serious these characters have been forced to be in their live action counter parts.
If I had to gripe, I'd say it was about the opening and it's aversion from the original opening titles.
But I quickly got past that and into the story. Like they say, 'this is Star Wars like you've never seen' - I agree. I'll be tuning in every week once the series hits TNT and Cartoon network for sure.

Robot Chicken was Better and damn fandango won't let me write the rest of my thorough review for this crap *** movie

I walked into the theater on day 3 since it was released and the Force was already warning me not to watch this film. As i passed through those doors into the dark abyss of where I would sit for 1 hr 38 min watching "Star Wars" I found.... an EMPTY THEATER! *GASP* I thought, "this cannot be right... something is wrong. Is this the right room??"
I walked back out with my movie ticket in hand hoping that I mistakenly entered the wrong room. But no; it was exactly where the movie would be shown.
As a scruffy looking nerf-herder scoundrel once said: "I've got a bad feeling about this.", I too... had a bad feeling about this.
The movie began with the ever so well known words of "long ago in a galaxy far far away"
Right then I was anticipating the exciting and renowned theme music, the large yellow words STAR WARS and to soon follow, the long scrolling words that would explain the situation that our Jedi friends would have to face.
But did it happen? one word: NO
    instead...

    Abysmal

Within 3 minutes of this flick, I started looking at my watch, wondering when the torture would end. The dialogue was awful. The plot was weak. I wanted the little disobedient padawan to be killed, and then we'd be spared her insubordinate lip for the rest of the movie, which would at least make it a little more tolerable. I felt like I was sitting there watching someone play a boring video game for over an hour and a half. I have no doubts that the game, which they always make after a flick like this, will look *exactly* like this horrible, horrible movie. It was almost physically painful. The only member of my family who thought it was "cool" was my 4-year-old. What does that tell you? I want my money back. I want my two hours of life back. Damn you, Lucas, for needing money so badly (or whatever your problem is) that you would breed this wretched demon-spawn and unleash it on the world.

    not dissapointed

    by enik

I'm glad to see george lucas is telling more star wars stories, and in animation form, a huge cost being eliminated, it's reason enough for him to want to tell more stories...this movies is traditionally fun to watch as all star wars movies are. you are given a deeper look into the star wars universe and the worlds within, and a closer look into events that lead into the fall of the republic, it has even more of a feel that the old western and sci-fi serials did, I felt like there was more episode to come, and I couldbn't wait to see what was gonna happen next. I COULD have been a critic and mention what has already been said so far in other reviews, but then I remembered, hey, this is suppose to be fun movie, not serious.. you love star wars? ,.. you'll love this movie!.. if you havent been pleased with watching a star wars movie before, and are not much of a fan,.. spare yourself an evening of criticizing,.. go to the screen next door and have a great night out at the movies.

Great For Kids But Hardcore Fans Shouldn't Bother

The dialogue is for a 4 year old and I've experienced more compelling plots in most Star Wars video games. If you have small children they might enjoy the film, but if you are a fan or you are looking for a serious continuation of the story line then you will be let down. The story in the film takes place randomly between Episode 2 & 3, but it doesn't really live up to its title 'The Clone Wars'. Its more like watching the pilot to a future cartoon series then the sequel to another film.

The botom line is that if you go to this movie with the same expectations that you would have for a REAL Star Wars live action film, then you will be sorely disappointed. There are a few cool action sequences, but that's the LEAST Lucas Arts can do for us, right? Otherwise this movie is about as good as the rest of the crap out right now. So if you're going to spend 10 bucks on something like Step Brothers, you might as well grab the kids and see this instead. Hope this helps.
