Plenty of depth for a shallow story

Down to the nitty gritty. Is the 3-D worth paying $8-$11 bucks to go see? No, not really. The 3-D was done well, in that the picture quality didn't suffer at all. But instead of popping off the screen, it sank into it, giving it a new field of depth which was nice at times, but at other times made me continuously aware of the dimensions of the screen. Nothing ever really came out at you. The best scene, for me, was the ending space battle that looked beautiful in 3-D. But otherwise- I felt like I spent $8 to see a movie I already own on Blu-ray and DVD.

3D effect was nearly nil

The 3D effect was terrible. So bad that I finally got up, found the manager and asked if there was a problem. Several people left. No need to pay the extra $3 for the glasses....or even put them on. We will not be going to see any of the other releases unless there are major improvements in the 3D effects....otherwise, we can stay home and watch the movie here.

this movie was really bad in 3d. you could tell everything was computer generated. it look way better in blu ray. Even when i convert the 2d to 3d it still looks better. dont waste your money seeing this movie or any like it. cool glasses though

The 3D was pretty weak given the potential it had to wow the audience (esp. the pod races). The change of Yoda from puppet to 3D was welcomed but I believe this was already done for the blu-ray releases. Nice to see it again on the big screen though. And if you're a Star Wars fan, might as well go to this one if you plan on getting the next 5 (or the last 3) in the theaters again. Even with so-so 3D.

STAR WARS EPISODE 1

I suspect it was a good movie. I opened my package of 3D glasses in the dark and put them on. I didn't like the way the glasses FIT or made the movie dark. After the movie I found out I had a child's pair of glasses. Stupid me! But the theatre should know better. My companion we found out after the show had adult glasses. BOOOOO! on the theatre, they ruined a good movie. Make sure you have adult 3D glasses.
