Whatever...

Except for the joy of seeing it on the big screen again, this wasn't worth the money. 3D did absolutely nothing for it. An expensive let down.

The movie itself it's awesome... but the 3D it's BAD, awful, wacala, creepy... If you love the franchise go to remember it on the big screen and good sound... but once again 3D SUCKS!

The 3D was pretty weak given the potential it had to wow the audience (esp. the pod races). The change of Yoda from puppet to 3D was welcomed but I believe this was already done for the blu-ray releases. Nice to see it again on the big screen though. And if you're a Star Wars fan, might as well go to this one if you plan on getting the next 5 (or the last 3) in the theaters again. Even with so-so 3D.

Big Screen Plus

I really enjoy all the episodes and it really wasn't a hard decision for me to want to see this film agin on the big screen. With that said, Star Wars was not filmed in 3D and wasn't meant to be watched in 3D. There were some good effects but it was far from awesome or cutting edge tech. I do not have any plans to watch the rest of the installments if they are released in 3D. I'd much rather view these movies as they were meant to be seen, on the big screen, in there original format. If your a big fan and can't resist the urge, knock yourself out. Otherwise, don't expect to get a big bang for your buck and sit this one out.

Star Wars Episode I in 3D

Though is remains the weakest of the Star Wars movies, it still has a great pod race and lots of other excitement. It is not enhanced by 3D. It is absolutely no better than the first screening many years ago. They did not have to add 3D in order to re-release the Star Wars series successfully. People will go to see their favorite Star Wars movies at the cinema just for the pleasure of seeing it again on the big screen! I would rather be able to see it again without 3D!!
