Great action! Great story and I came away feeling as if I had more insight into the minds of the original crew! I will be seeing this again and again and...

The movie was AWESOME! But watching it on IMAX 3D SUCKED A$$! There thousands.....yes THOUSANDS of dust particles and fibers, small and large, all over the image on the screen. And because of the polarization of the lenses, only half of the particles could be seen with one eye. I'm not talking just a few times during the movie. I'm talking about the entire movie! Also, about every two or three minutes, the quantity of dust would suddenly increase by 3 or 4 times, then they would disappear. It was incredibly distracting and would draw my focus from the 3D image of the movie and cause my vision to become disoriented. I will NEVER go to another IMAX or 3D again unless they can fix that problem. I can't wait to go see the movie again in normal 2D. I know I missed a lot of the movie because I was so distracted by all that non-stop dust!

We were SCREWED by Fandango and AMC!!!!

We went to see the 11:00PM advance preview of Star Trek-Into the Darkness at Lincoln Center IMAX 3D showing-it was the second advance preview showing. ALL advance ticket holders were promised by Fandango and AMC special 1st time ever issued posters for the movie. As all 4 of us stood in line waiting to get into the 11:00PM show (which started late-btw) we watched the 8PM showing file out with posters in hand. As we entered I asked "Where's our poster?" they said "Oh we are handing them out at the end of the movie". Seemed logical. the end of the movie which was great btw we were told that they had run outta posters and they don't have any. I told them that's BS and that someone has swiped them and they will be on Ebay tomorrow and that they have two more advance screenings tomorrow where they promised posters so how could they possibly run out on first day?!? SHAME on Fandango and AMC what a scam and I'm so disappointed. Employees btw didn't give a S just wanted to go home

I have been a Star Trek fan all my life.. This is by far one of the best Star Trek movies I have ever seen.. I laughed, cried, clapped and got really involved in watching the movie.. I have never saw a 3D movie with IMAX before! Seeing this movie like this is a must.. Pay the extra $!! You will not be disappointed!! Live Long and Prosper!!

I had prepped my friends before the movie. I wasn't sure but I encouraged them to see Wrath of Khan. Only one complied, so she alone laughed, cheered, and ooohed with the Trekkers and Trekkies in the audience. The others definitely enjoyed the movie, and we all agreed Benedict is one of the greatest actors of our time, but they were lost with the subtle nuances. This leaves me torn. I love it when people get the inside jokes, but there is something pure about the new Star Trek fans that I don't want to taint. I don't agree that they have to see what we see, but it would be nice to geek out with EVERYONE. There is something for every viewer. Love watching the story unfold. Definitely worth seeing. I've seen it in 3D and regular 35mm. My equilibrium is off so the 35mm is better for my head, but the action is so dynamic! I will see it again in theatres. Two favorite quotes: "Sulu, remind me never to piss you off." and "You should have let me SLEEP!"
