***** Action, special effects, great story line and believable charactors. Not a flaw in the whole movie and except for a dirty word s##t and Kirk in bed with two girls? yes girls? it is fun for all ages. The best Star Trek movie ever. It will keep you rivited to your seat. The Imax experience was exactly that, an experience. 5 out of 5. Go Go Go see this movie and bring some oxygen, you'll need it.

JJ Abrams & the returning cast nailed it again & actually improved on their 1st outing. Went to a 9pm sneak Wed., 5/15 at a Regal RPX (their version of IMAX). I wasn't sure how that would be, but the sound & vision was immaculate. I'm not a big fan of 3D but we wanted to see the earliest show. I would say 3D is not necessary. There are some scenes where it added to shaky cam confusion, but others where it looked great. If there had been a giant screen 2D, I would've chosen it instead. Now to the movie. Great story. Top notch acting (Benedict Cumberbatch was a VERY worthy advisary for the crew of the Enterprise) & direction. FX look great. My concern is now that Abrams is moving over to do the Star Wars films, I'm not sure they'll be able to keep Star Trek franchise healthy without him. For now though, GO!

We were SCREWED by Fandango and AMC!!!!

We went to see the 11:00PM advance preview of Star Trek-Into the Darkness at Lincoln Center IMAX 3D showing-it was the second advance preview showing. ALL advance ticket holders were promised by Fandango and AMC special 1st time ever issued posters for the movie. As all 4 of us stood in line waiting to get into the 11:00PM show (which started late-btw) we watched the 8PM showing file out with posters in hand. As we entered I asked "Where's our poster?" they said "Oh we are handing them out at the end of the movie". Seemed logical. Well..at the end of the movie which was great btw we were told that they had run outta posters and they don't have any. I told them that's BS and that someone has swiped them and they will be on Ebay tomorrow and that they have two more advance screenings tomorrow where they promised posters so how could they possibly run out on first day?!? SHAME on Fandango and AMC what a scam and I'm so disappointed. Employees btw didn't give a S just wanted to go home

Best movie I've seen this year!

Star Trek Into Darkness is by far my favorite film I've seen this year! I can't remember the last time I went to a movie with high expectations, and got what I wanted from a film. The only thing I would have like to have seen more of is deeper story development, this really is more of an action Star Trek. That said, it's still a great Star Trek film, and a great sci-fi action movie. I loved it!

Great action! Great story and I came away feeling as if I had more insight into the minds of the original crew! I will be seeing this again and again and...
