A very fun ride. I loved the allusions to the old films. The characters are true to the original. Sure to please old and new fans alike.

This far surpasses Ironman and is a must see if your any kind of fan. The action was non-stop and rolled together well. I'm looking forward to the Star Trek free download also, "which i havent gotten yet now 2 days later".. but still, this movie was best yet.

Good movie - but you can skip the 3D

I enjoyed it - I saw it in 3D IMAX -that was ok but not great - seeing it on a regular screen would have been better

Not a huge Star Trek fan but don't dislike it either, just never really got into it. Only know the original series but haven't watched since I was a kid. Watched the first (new movie) a few nights before to get caught up on the story. Can't say that I know it well enough to analyze plot alignment with the original but really enjoyed it. Thought it was cast very well, story was good, effects were fantastic. We saw it in 3-D which while I thought was ridiculously priced, the effects were pretty insane.

A visually stunning experience in 3D, and some of the plot twists were not as surprising as one may think but there was one plot device that I did not expect, however, it did not take away from the experience.
