Fake 3D and Fake IMAX

I enjoyed to picture even with the shortcomings. I've always liked the Star Trek character interaction - from the early TV series to this latest offering. I don't like J.J. Abrahm's "lens or light flaring". It's not as bad as the first Star Trek but to me still annoying. The CG 3D was reasonable. Too bad it wasn't filmed in 3D. Some of the total CG scenes in 3D were very effective. Unfortunately, when one pays to see an IMAX motion picture, one expects an IMAX screen. Unfortunately AMC doesn't see it that way and the public probably doesn't know what they are missing.

This movie was fantastic--especially in Imax 3D! There was so much action and plenty of humor. And this could easily be enjoyed by new Star Trek fans as well as long-time "Trekkies" like me. Go see it!

A very fun ride. I loved the allusions to the old films. The characters are true to the original. Sure to please old and new fans alike.

I only wish IMAX was available 2D, not 3D. But the movie, well, I would dare say is better than the first. And the first was unbelievable...

Being a long term Trekie I love the re-boot of the franchise and how all things old are new. The re-introduction of Khan is great and this installment of Star Trek did NOT disappoint. Left the theater Stunned and Awed by the scale and speed of the Story. A Glorious story in it's own right and the tie in to the original story line left me emotionally satisfied.
