To Trek, or not to Trek.

Let me begin by saying I have watched all of the Star Trek movies (old and new) so I had high expectations for this one. There were some issues with storyline and some of the plot made no sense, but overall, I would recommend this movie to most people. I like the actors, I liked the special effects, and I enjoyed the idea of the movie immensely. I'd give it a solid 3 out of 4 stars.

The second Star Trek had nearly non-stop action. I was glued to my seat. 3D quality was better than others I've seen. I found myself dodging things coming at me. LOL Definitely a must see movie. Fandango said I'd get a free download for the 2009 version in my email but I've gotten nothing from them since I saw it Friday. Maybe they're just running late. I hope it comes through.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS 3D

Great movie! Lots of action with stunning special effects. I literally sat on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film. In my opinion Benedict Cumberbatch is one of those great British actors ranking with Sir Laurence Olivier. Mr. Cumberbatch's "quiet" scenes were riveting, but he was spectacular in the action shots, moving with the grace of a sublime dancer. It will be interesting to see what roles he tackles in the future...I'll be watching!

Loved the movie. It was much better then the first one. Held my suspense and kept me chuckling at the similarities between the new characters performing as the original ones. Each of the actors portraying the originals did a first-rate job. Also loved the surprise cameo appearance. The 3D made it awesome also. It is a fun experience. I would definitely recommend this film to everyone.

New Star Trek...

Something for everyone...Trek fans and newbies. Lot of surprises...see it in a good theater as it sounds and looks terrific. I would forego the 3D, not worth it...save 3D for a Pixar film or something brighter.
