Loved the movie!!! If you love Star Trek, you will LOVE it too! Even my husband was glad he saw it, and he isn't a big Trek fan.

I am not an original Trekkie, but my dad, who definitely is, drug us to the first movie, and I immediately fell in love. I was so worried there was no way this movie could live up to the first one and it didn’t, it was somehow better! If you have any love for Star Trek, action, or sci-fi movies this is a must see, and you will NOT be disappointed. Just be sure to go to the bathroom beforehand, because there is not one second you’ll want to miss.

In keeping with the theme if the last movie, this incorporated characters and themes from the original timeline and presents a new twist on everything. It's original and unpredictable. Can't wait for the next one.

New Trek from Old Trek

For Star Trek fans, Star Trek: Into Darkness is a little derivative, but it's still great fun to see these beloved characters in new and challenging situations. The acting, action, and visual effects were all top notch for the material and it's a very fun ride. The 3D was well done and was especially effective for space shots of the enterprise - great sense of scale. Well worth the price of admission.

This second Star Trek movie, under the tutelage of J.J. Abrams, delivers on every level - action, plot, character development, etc. Simon Pegg and Karl Urban are uncanny as Scotty and Bones. Zachary Quinto makes Spock as inscrutable as ever while investing a bit more human emotion into the character. I won't ruin the surprise and tell you who the villain is but suffice to say you will like the new take on a classic bad guy from the series. Some purists may take issue with a few twists and turns that re-write Star Trek history but that was Abrams' intent when he used time travel in the first re-boot and gave himself license to create a kind of alternate time line. Special effects are amazing. We watched in REAL3D and it was an amazing experience. Go and Enjoy!!!
