Awesome movie. I have never been a huge Star Trek fan due to my own failure to watch previous movies, but I was told to watch "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan" before I watched this one and I am glad I did. I love the reboot and loved this action packed movie!

Liked Star Trek growing up as a kid. Nice effort to get Pike and Quinto et al to take on roles of KIrk and Spock, etc. However, they play too young and a bit immature, and this movie, despite it's technoligical prowess, relies on an old villain that has previously popped up in (I believe) 3 other Star Trek episodess/movies - can't we get a new villian? And the "save the ship sequence" and resolution at the end is directly out of Star Trek 2 movie, except without the great makeup for the dying hero and switching the hero. The final straw was "old Spock" showing up again - can't we do something original?

I enjoyed the movie. The movie was suspenseful and action packed. The movie combined a many elements of previous Star Trek movies which made the plot easy to follow and understand. A familiar nemesis is appears along with other familiar characters. I loved the movie and would recommend that it be view in 3D on movie screen.

Action packed, very solid script and plot, good acting and lots of fun inside jokes and references. The special effects are also incredible. Benedict Cumberbatch makes a charismatic villain against Chris pine's Kirk. Also, if you know the khan back story, they did a great job playing with it.

J.J. Abrams did an outstanding job on this movie, just as we have come to expect from him. The movie had a great balance of humor, action, drama and conflict, and with no less respect, the "return" of an old nemesis was awesome! I was definitely not disappointed with all of the actors' performances and I especially enjoyed seeing more of the development of Kirk and Spock's friendship. The movie is arguably appropriate for anyone except very young children given the violence.
