A Debacle from Start to Finish

In theory, the double feature looked like it would be a fun and unique viewing experience. I arrived at the theater two hours early (in costume, of course) expecting to jump in line for this "premier" event only to discover that there was no line as yet and that I was one of only 25 ticket holders. A mostly empty theater certainly took an edge off the thrill I had going into the experience. Then the 2009 film began...in 2D. The Double Feature was billed as a 3D event. Certainly less excitement and more frustration at this point. And yet, the kicker was yet to come. As you can see from the poster, Into Darkness was slated to begin at 12:01 am, and yet when my friends and I returned to the theater at 11:45, concessions in hand, the film had already started. Now I was mad. And utterly lost since we missed the first five minutes. Nothing about this evening was "as advertised." Bottom line, Fandango needs to get their Schtako together because the entire event was...(go to title).

Star Trek - Double Feature

We were few at the double feature, but probably due to the short window of opportunity to purchase the tickets - all the better for those who attended! Watching the two movies back-to-back allows for a direct comparison...and the second may be better than the first. I will see Into the Darkness another time or two on the big screen (IMAX 3D tonight!) , very enjoyable movie. well pleased.

This was an amazing movie I highly recommend it to any true Star Trek fan out there. The story line was well developed the characters were well developed as well it was just very well thought out! if you have second thought between Iron Man3 and this movie FORGET IRON MAN!! seriously I would recommend you watch this movie instead they have a way better villain than the mandarin. All in all production and direction of this film was well built it is amazing in al aspect and you connect with all characters. I have to say that if JJ Abrams keeps up his winning streak with Stark Trek and Into Darkness I have a feeling that the third install ment will be a knock out!!

Really enjoyed the movie. It was a great story and the interesting thing about it is the ability to deal with something dealt with by the non-rebooted Kirk in a completely different manner. I liked the way it intertwined the old story with the new one. Great action and a must see. Planning on seeing it again, too!

Awesome Double Feature with Spectacular Storytelling and Action!

Star Trek Into Darkness is a spectacularly fun, inventive and exciting new entry in this series. Filled with eye-popping effects and action, it matches the original in quality and surpasses any of the other Films in the Trek universe by far. The best element of the 2009 reboot was how it cleverly wove itself into the Star Trek mythology while creating an alternate reality for itself so this new series could chart it's own path. Into Darkness continues that nod toward the series' history with quick one-line acknowledgments, props in the background and special appearances from the established universe. Seeing both films back to back was a thrill an it was easy to see that the film makers carefully built upon the first to craft the second. In short, both films are fun and well worth their time. Into Darkness is a more than worthy successor to not only the first film, but the entire Star Trek canon.
