Everyone warned me it would be a 2.5 hour ad for the new Blu-Ray release, but I saw it as just a fun experience for TNG fans. The episodes looked great, and the extras were fun! Especially the outtakes and bloopers...

This event commemorates the Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 2. The episodes shown here are decades old, but they have been remastered in wonderful High Definition. The Enterprise looks positively glorious in HD. This special movie event shows you not only these episodes, but the process of upgrading the series to HD, cast interviews and of course a blooper reel. The best part was the final episode they showed, "Measure of a Man", which was presented in it's original form with extra scenes that had originally been cut. After viewing this extended version, the "official" version will no longer be sufficient, they should have cut nothing!
Children of ages eight an up can enjoy it, but they will probably not completely understand all of the drama in the episodes. The acting is all right (later episodes yielded better acting). All in all, If they ever show it again you should go! And in any case be on the look out for the re-release of season 3!!!

This second season Blu-ray event was awesome! Watching the 2 best episodes from season 2 on the big screen was amazing. They played "Q Who?" & "The Measure of a Man". "The measur of a man" is a great episode, but "Q Who?" Is one of the greatest episodes of the whole series because this is the first time we find out about the Borge. The Borge ends up being the greatest foe of all time in Star Trek history. The interviews with the cast were pretty interesting too. If your a Star Trek fan and you missed this event you definitely missed something special. =)

This was less of a movie event and more of a documentary with a couple of Star Trek remastered episodes mixed in. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The remastered shows were good but a bit dark (no contrast) so it constantly looked like the characters were in shadows. It was in the original 4:3 aspect ratio so I really felt like I was watching my 1990's TV. I especially liked the addition of the deleted scenes, it made the episodes feel familiar yet different. I would definitely see Season 3 when it comes out.

Although I am more of a Star Trek Voyager fan, I always go to support Star Trek regardless. I really enjoyed this celebration and "The Measure of a Man" (the unedited version) was fantastic. It was also nice to see all the cast for a reunion too. Such a great evening! Definitely a must see when the next celebration comes up.
