    Star Trek Went There....And Then Some :)

    I had high expectations of this film being that it was rated 95-100% on Rotten Tomatoes scale & received viral positive praise from film critics and typical movie goers. I was more of a fan of the Star Trek TV series than the movie franchise. I admit I'm a biased admirer of JJ Abrams & Zachary Quinto's work, so I was already excited to see what they had to bring to the big screen since Cloverfield & my fave TV show - Heroes. This movie reboot brought fresh faces to the not-so-big after-all screen. The movie was perfectly cast w/welcomed comic relief in key scenes. Pleased this wasn't a dry, ultra-geek speak, flat sci-fi flick. Disconcerting to be engaged in all the action on screen & then have that excitement disrupted w/persistent audio drop outs during the movie. Shame on AMC for not being proactive to apologize for the viewing/audio disruptions.

    An amazing and thrilling space adventure!J.J Abrams did a FANTASTIC job directing this! I laughed, I cried and even wanted to punch a wall at times. This movie has everything; even for those non-trekker fans. Chris Pine(or fine as I like to call him) and Zachary Quinto were absolutley AMAZING along with Karl Urban, Eric Bana, Simon Pegg,Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saladana, the legendary Leonard Nimoy and the amazing breakthrough perfomrance of Chris Hemsworth. If there is only one movie you should see in 2009 it's 'Star Trek'.
