    Keep on Trekkin'

    1st ever review or submitting any opinion on the net, but here goes....

    I saw this in the theatre and loved it. I'm 36 and grew up watching The original Series in re-runs on tv back in the day. Around that time my first memories of what Trek is revolves around Both TOS and the movies - Specifically The Wrath of Khan. In teens the Next Gen and etc.. came out.

    I say this because a lot of folk go over weather(sp?) this is Trek or just "Young pretty people in Space" with trekisms added in.

    The vibe of all Trek series IMO seem different because of the times they were made. I look at the Hair styles and other forms of dress that scream "this is what the future (asthetically) is supposed to look like, from people in the 80's viewpoint. TOS looked like the 60's view of the future. TNG 90's as well etc...

    Ok acting. Not as serious in tone as i'm used to in Trek. And as said many times by ppl: a "fun ride".

    Great FUN!

    I was not a Star Trek fan at all until I saw this movie. It is WONDERFUL! Leonard Nimoy was also there for a Q & A which was a HUGE bonus.

    Action packed edge of your seat movie whether you are a Star Trek fan or not!

    One of the absolute very best Star Trek movies out there! You must rent it if you have not seen it in a theater. I would prefer you to see this movie in an IMAX 3D theater.

    Must see for Star Trek and/or Sci-Fi fans

    I like Star Trek, but always been much more of a Star Wars guy, but this film ROCKED! The best Star Trek, film and story put on film ever. This movie has made me a huge fan. Pine was great and Urban nailed Dr.Mcoy, his performance was pitch perfect. The man should have gotten a supporting actor nomination in my opinion. Star Trek and Sci-Fi fans have to see this movie if they haven't already.

    Star Trek

    Though it has its over-caffeinated aspects and its missteps, this Star Trek has in general bridged the gap between the old and the new with alacrity and purpose.
