This movie is visually striking. Unfortunately Storytelling is affected by cast improvisation. Actors often ramble in circles. Editorially the filmmakers found a great solution the repetitiveness into a style.
The movie is good but you end up wishing a director with more control and discipline had worked on such a great material.

I would say if your looking to see a feel good movie about Spring Break this definitely isn't the movie for you to go see. While I do think that the nudity was a bit much and almost turned me off halfway through the movie, I am glad I stuck through it. I like that while it showed you the aspects of the drug trade/robbery/gangster aspects it also showed you negative aspects as well. I definitely thought that this movie was really good and I liked that you could interpret the story line in many different ways. While I have never seen Harmony Korinne's films before this, I will have to go see if I can find other ones. That being said with it being a R rated film I definitely would not take anybody under the age of 18 to see this movie even if there was another adult with them, like there was when I went to see it.

There's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
This movie was ridiculously stupid. No plot, no story, just plain dumb.
Not even rental-worthy...
After a while, the repetitious whisper of "Spring Break Forever" gets annyoing along with what sounds like the loading of a rifle or gun of some type.
Two dumbs down on this one!

Sleep walking through your adolescence? This is not the movie for you.
Korine is the true hard OG, only with a sense of humor. The best suggestion I can make to those who are panning this film on Fandango - go see it again and this time compare Faith's jelly rolled youth minister to Alien.
I also suggest you hit Netflix and see some Roger Altman movies ("Nashville", "MASH", "McCabe and Mrs. Miller") Check out anything by Werner Herzog there and other places I mention below. Then head on over to Amazon Instant to see the 1960 Jean-Luc Godard film "Breathless". You'll probably have to go to your local public library to get a copy of Godard's, "Two or Three Things I Know About Her". It's a real eye-opener.
Other reviewers have spelled out good cases for this film, so I won't bother to repeat them. One thing, this isn't an "art film". This is the sort of film Quentin Tarantino plays over and over in his head and would love to put out. If he only could.

This **** was awesome!!! One of Harmonys greatest movies!! James Franko pinned the tail on his role, along with Rachel Korine, Selina Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Venessa Hudgens. I would definitely suggest seeing it. Way better than any of the same old party movies out there. He made it a great party movie with plenty of humor, meaning, thrills and gave it the perfect "Harmony" twist on it. Very captivating! although not for young children.
