Spring Breakers is a unique film to come to theaters that is not an average teen movie to say the least. If your intentions are to see a funny teenage movie about hot girls on spring break DO NOT see this movie.
Spring Breakers exposes the viewer to all senses and even shames their eyes. Although visually beautiful, your stomach will feel as though you are watching a real life horror movie. There are scenes that make the viewer think "is every one watching this? should I be closing my eyes right now?"
Korine executed this movie beautifully balancing an uneasy feeling between young naive girls and the illusion of a "bad ass" lifestyle.
If you have seen Harmony Korine's other movies prepare to be entranced, if you have not, just keep an open mind.

No plot, terrible climax, and hardly any memorable moments. Just a trashy version of pop culture crammed into an hour & a half. Nothing but drama. It's very entertaining, that's about it.

If you ever see a movie and it's directed by Harmony Korine, don't waste your hard earned money, you're going to be disappointed.
I expected the movie to be a bit edgy, good plot, nice screen writing and directing. I think Harmony was coked out of his mind or smoking weed every two minutes, because the movie was a mess.
If you're a teenager and your hormones are raging, you might enjoy a couple of minutes of watching T & A, but that's about it.
The script was a mess, the actors seemed lost in the movie, this movie was bad.
I like Franco, Selena, Vanessa, and Ashley. It's a shame they wasted their acting skills on this piece of garbage.
Korine should get out of Hollywood and direct PSAs (Public Service Announcements for Spring Breakers).
If you're going to smoke something interesting or take a couple of shots before you see the movie, you might enjoy it a bit.

I'll start off saying that the cinematography in this film was stellar. It was amazing, and eye-catching, and unique. I just LOVED it.
Yes, there was tons of partying in this film, but it had a lot of deeper content. If you were watching the film correctly, you could easily see the deeper psychological context, which was displayed mostly by the build up and repetition of sound. The greatest performance was James Franco, of course, who never faltered-- I admit, I was waiting to see a note of his true self. But Franco stuck to it, and performed brilliantly. Vanessa Hudgens was very intense, and stuck to her character as well, and I hope to see more of this work from her in the future. Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine gave very good performances too. But Selena Gomez was truly lacking, and displayed her little experience in the acting field. I, nor my friend. could get a grip on what she was trying to do with her character. It was the only bad aspect of the film.

This movie is terrible. It's worse than terrible. And it only fits in the genre of "comedy" because you will spend the entire time laughing that you spent money to see this piece of trash. It's not insightful or artistic. It is crap and sometimes crap is just crap. It is a complete waste of your time, don't even rent on Redbox or watch on tv later. It's not even worth free.
