A little different than the first one. More about the actual race.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will be on the edge of your seat to see who makes it the 26.2 miles and who doesn't. You will feel their pain and their joy as they complete their journey. Beautifully filmed in the ancient city of Rome. Can't wait for Spirit of the Marathon III. How about making that one about Boston as a tribute?

I was unprepared for the depth of emotions felt watching this movie! I am a so-so runner, but fascinated by those who commit to and accomplish a marathon. The life stories presented in this movie were deeply touching. Any runner who wants to "get" why people do marathons should see this film.

Arrive early--see the marathon trivia. Then sit back and enjoy an extraordinary and insight into several lives of runners of all abilities and social strata. Beautifully filmed and scored from beginning to end. You will smile, laugh, chuckle, nod your head, and shed some tears--most of all you'll relate to many of the stories told and the commonalities of marathon running. It will re-energize you and make you feel proud to part of the running community. Stay for the mini-doc afterwards--the charitable aspect of running will tug at your core. Five very brilliant stars for this masterpiece.
