I loved Spirit of the Marathon I. II is just as good. If you are a runner or you know someone who is, you need to see this movie. I've run one marathon in the US. Running a marathon in Rome is now on my bucket list.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will be on the edge of your seat to see who makes it the 26.2 miles and who doesn't. You will feel their pain and their joy as they complete their journey. Beautifully filmed in the ancient city of Rome. Can't wait for Spirit of the Marathon III. How about making that one about Boston as a tribute?

After watching SOM 1 this past weekend this movie was exactly what I expected. I was truly rooting for each runner. There were not any surprises. It was similar to the first one. Except it was Rome.
I felt more into the first one, I was cheering for the runners more in the first one. I am not sure why. Mimo was probably my favorite character, and Cliff Scott tore my heart out.
Great job and looking forward to 3.

inspiring movie. anyone interested in running, particularly running a marathon, should see this movie. great individual stories of several runners' stories from newbies to veterans to professional runners. the movie goes in depth into the personal lives of the runners. loved it. we saw it in the same theatre that Julie Weiss saw it. Julie is one of the runners featured in the movie. She ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks to spread the word about pancreatic cancer which caused the loss of her father.
