Speed Racer Review
Speed Racer is a surprisingly great addition to the creative repertiore of the well-known Wachowski Bros. As a fan of the original Speed Racer cartoon series, this movie was a definite blast to watch! The greatest quality it had was that it did not change the concept from its roots. If one word could describe this movie vaguely, that word would be COLOR. With semi-psychadelic visual presentation and effects, Speed Racer was, without a doubt, a stunning show. The action and race sequences were very well portrayed, and always had my eyes on the screen. Although the movie was a bit long and the story had so many things going on simultaneously, the movie was edited in a fast pace motion, avoiding dull moments to make it seem stalled. The only disappointment throughout the entire movie was that the cars did not look real enough, due to the fact that they were filled in with CG. I rate this movie an impressive 4 out of 5.
