Just because this movie is based off of a ridiculously lame japanese cartoon, it turned out pretty well actually. The entire reason i like this movie is that its flashy and stylish. Its the first movie iv'e ever seen that featured special effects like this. if your looking for a good kids movie, or a good movie to sit and geek out to (if you know what i mean) then you cant go wrong with Speed Racer.
Visually the movie was very nice looking. It is a shame that his little brother is just as annoying in the movie as he was in the cartoon.
This movie was so exciting. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the action movies.All of the cast was awesome and I totally think that it's great to get people excited about something from awhile ago. Totally worth seeing and we're going to buy it when it comes out. I never saw the original till after this movie and I have to say "Wow."
Really Cool movie! I remember seeing it as a child but couldn't quite remember the story. This was a really cool and fun movie. I think I was cheering in my seat at one point, LOL The monkey was too funny to! Will have to buy this on DVD to see it again. Boys 6 & 8 were very excited about seeing this movie and me being the cool mom took them to see it. Go Speed Racer, Go!
Seeing Speed racer in Imax was a great experience. I've loved the show since I was a little boy, and enjoyed the animated feel of this version. I saw it twice once towards the back and the 2nd time all the way in the front. Definitely recommend it
