Same Movie we got for FREE on TV!

This is the same movie we could see for free on TV last year!! Frankly, I felt cheated out of the $50+ dollars this cost my family of four. Sappy, poorly scripted movie: - Why are Jesus's disciples portrayed as mute idiots? I realize they were not always the sharpest tools in the box, but they just sit there staring blankly at Jesus through most of the movie - Jesus called Lazarus 'with a loud voice' from OUTSIDE the tomb - Why do we have to see Mary and Martha 'crying' but without tears? - Jesus in the temple just flipping three tables then getting verbally bushwhacked by the temple priest..seriously?? - With Revelation possibly having been written between 70 and 95 AD, why is John portrayed as a 45 year-old on the island of Patmos? - Could Burnett have done a better job telling the numerous stories in Jesus life than the austere, out-of-context, story in a silo approach that was taken? - Does Burnett really think just 11 guys saw Jesus ascend to heaven?

Not biblical

This was so disappointing! I was excited to know that Hollywood invested in a Christian theme movie, but sadly, the humanity of Christ wasn't emotionally revealed. I am a Christian, but I wonder if the non-Christian that may see this film will get anything from it? This film was in no way as touching as "the Passion for the Christ". Kudos to Mel Gibson in his dedication to stick to the scripture, which is probably why his film from 10 years ago was more compelling. Because God wrote it. I'm wondering why the producers chose to change some key stories away from biblical text? They chose to make Mary Magdeline one of the 12 disciples. So they are claiming there were 13? 12 men and a woman? Too many scenes were re-written and I would imagine this just breaks the heart of God, the author of the Bible and the Father of all, including Jesus. If you want to see the true story of Christ Jesus, watch the Passion for the Christ movie, or stay home and read the book of John.

I enjoyed this movie a lot, because they kept it very simple and filled with lots of Love. Their focus was on Jesus love for the people and bible verses that we know so well. I LOVED the end with him speaking about Everlasting life ! As a Christian it re energized me :)

The Amazing Story cones to life with clarity. The acting is superb...the actor who plays the part of Jesus is captivating in the role. I will always picture Jesus with those eyes and that face of compassion and trust for the Father's Plan. The graphic scene at the cross was heart wrenching but appropriately handled. The way the resurrection was depicted left me with hope and confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He w!ill do. It's a forthright version of the story about which the Bible was written....and comes together accurately. Thank you to the producers and all those who made this lovely tribute to the life of Jesus. I highly recommend viewing this film...even if you have seen all the others!
