This movie showed the compassion and love Jesus has and asks of us, it completed the movie The Passion of Christ, another great movie. One shows the suffering, the other shows his Love, both show the evilness, goodness and hope in our world. A "must go" movie,...only if you want to leave with warmth, hope, love and yes sadness in your heart. All great feelings that embrace the sacrifices Jesus and his mother made for us and a reminder that there are incredibly good people in our world.

A++++ rating

An extremely powerful movie from the Chirstian perspective - a powerful potrayal of the extent of suffering Jesus experienced and all for the redemption of our souls. Confronting our own inadequacies with the reality that another human being would suffer for them so that we may be saved was evocative of our unworthiness of those of us who are the recipients of this sacrifice. I wept, as did everyone sitting around me in the theater. Diogo Margado portrayed Jesus as I know Him in my mind's eye - gentle, just, loving - especially when he was with children- patient , all the human qualities He asks of us. Children made him smile. The supporting cast was superb - it made me wonder what these actors took away with them at the end of their day. The could not have remained detached after giving such emotional performances. I love Roma Downey and Mark Burnett and credit them for finding the writers that brought what they needed to from the Bible to the screen. A+++++ movie.

Very powerful movie! A great reminder about the extravagant love that God showed for us in sending his son Jesus to be payment for our sins.

Worth Supporting

First of all let me say that Christians need to support this kind of production to show Hollywood that believers will support this genre of movie and that we desire more films like it. That said, Son of God is simply an editing of the original The Bible series that aired last year. At times it feels chopped up and glued together as a story, highlighting parts of Jesus' ministry and not a smooth and progressing story line. Kind of an ESPN highlight style show of Jesus' ministry. The acting has its highs and lows and the cinematography likewise. Is every actor who plays Jesus required to have a breathy, ethereal voice? The panoramic shots of Jerusalem feel digitized, but the filming of the true landscape at times is breathtaking. All in all it is worth the money to support this type of production, but it only gets 2.5 stars out of 4 for me.

This is a very good movie, gives us a chance to reflect of the real purpose of life with the true examples of the scriptures, it challenge us to take it to a deeper reflection of our day to day life, and recognize the true meaning of life. the make of the movie was done very well along with the actors.
