I loved Snow White and the Huntsman! I took my 14 year old niece for a girl's day out. Even though this film is PG13, I think it would be okay for tweens. Charlize Theron WAS the Evil Queen. What a phenomenal actor! I paid the matinee price but I would pay the regular price to see it ---- AGAIN!

The story was rushed even though the movie was over 2 hours long. CGI is really cool though, wish it was in 3D. It was a good movie, but I wouldn't go see it again.

Bella Swan Meets Snow White

Kristen Stewart is ok in the movie, but she has the same facial expressions as in Twighlight, bad casting for snow white. On the other hand...Charlize Theron rocked it.

This is definitely not the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs I remember from my childhood, but all of the key elements are there. Thankfully we ignored the opinion of a family friend and the critics. (Rule of thumb: If the critics hate it, go see it!) Prejudices solidly in place, I was prepared to be bored and disappointed but luckily I found myself totally engrossed in the story; hating Charlize Theron's Wicked Witch, rooting for Kristen Stewart's Snow White and audibly cringing at the nastiness of the Dark Forest and the ugly horrible giant swamp troll. The entrance of the dwarfs was so cleverly played, It took me a minute to realize exactly who they were! The poison apple, the evil step mother, the enchanted forest were all well represented in this dark version of the story we all know and love, just enough to keep the basics of the classic in tact. Lastly, Kudos to Chris Hemsworth for great acting and providing just the right amount of romance and hunk presence to the movie.
