    Absolutely Rivetting

This movie is truly beautiful. With many small stories holding up a larger story--a grander scheme, even, this movie has a unique format that does all aspects of the tale justice. With comedic moments and absolute tragedies, this incredible story will move you. Guaranteed. Beautiful direction and camerawork, great acting, and a well-written script, there is little that this movie could have improved on. But mostly, when I walked out of the theater, everything felt a little more beautiful.

    Slumdomg Millionaire

One of my favorites of the year - no doubt! It was beautifully done. From the storytelling, to writing to the acting, it was beautiful, suspenseful, romantic. Just delightful to watch. Can't wait to see how it does in the Oscars!

    Wonderful!

One of the most interesting movies I've seen in a long time. Everything worked together, with acting, music, photography, and story combining to create a very powerful experience.

This is film making at its best. I watch over 80 movies a year and this is the best movie of the year.

    odd premise, great film

I was a little weirded out at first by the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" backbone of this movie, but as things progressed and more of the main character's back story unfolded, it began to make much more sense to me. From the start, the suspense built up around his past and future and I really was riveted to my seat throughout the entirety of the movie. I adored the photography, as hard up as most of the areas in Mumbai depicted onscreen are -- because it is unapologetically gritty and sometimes staggeringly beautiful -- and the way the director successfully wound a romance through this mostly disheartening story. I would highly recommend checking it out, and don't leave until the credits are completely through!
