Sleuth is So So
If you see this movie without knowing any of its background, chances are, you'll be bored. This was a play adaptation and a remake, and its look and feel make it obvious with one setting and two actors. For a movie with only one setting, mostly indoors, it makes good use of a variety of artsy camera angles. There's plenty of dialogue that is witty and at times comic--especially if you're familiar with British humor. Some surprise moments also make you jump. I found it interesting, but definitely not a must-see. Those looking to see Jude Law in a role like "The Holiday" will be extremely disappointed. But considering that this is in limited release as of now, those who seek out "Sleuth" will know what they're getting into.
