What great sleeper comedy! This is a well written story about a man who is a natural at comedy, but it takes him a long time to figure it out because everyone in his life has an idea of what he should be doing. There are some extremely funny gags about sleepwaling, finding your calling, marriage, and the profession of comedy. Lots of laughs guaranteed.

This was a great movie, very well written and executed. There were moments that I couldn't stop laughing and moments that were shocking but in the end this is a sweet warm movie that you can tell was made with love (like most indie movies ofcourse). Go support this awesome flick.

Unique story, likable characters, lots of laughs (the main character is really a comedian) while dealing with a semi-serious condition (ie sleep walking). A movie guys and girls will enjoy.

I have heard the story on This American Life twice, which I am a big fan of it and Ira Glass (and small donor to the show), I was really ready to love the film. However I walked out of the movie, the second time in my life I have done so... I spent 25 minutes waiting for something to happen... the character is just an unsympathetic loser and I got tired of watching the dweeb. Wanted to be a comic yet had no material... he wasn't failing for lack of talent/skill... it was a lack of effort. I recently heard interviews with Phyllis Diller and other comedians, they spent hours writing and tuning... this guy only spent that amount of time wishing, whining and despairing.
I was relieved to not have to waste another minute waiting for something interesting, amusing or somehow entertaining. Ira, your on-air promo said this was as good as the best of TAL... what were you thinking? Sad,

If you like Mike Birbiglia, you'll enjoy this movie version of the story of his sleep disorder. It's not just a good story about his own life, but the actuality of a comic's life on the road. The cast is great and counting the cameos is like a game of name that comedian. I am a huge Mike Birbiglia fan and he definitely did not disappoint.
