This movie stands the test of time as the standard against which all movie musicals must be measured. It is a joy from first frame to last. Love it!

A friend and I went last night to see Singin' in the Rain and we both loved it. Loved that the audiance clapped after each song and dance. It was a fun evening. Would love to see in the future, South Pacific, Oklahoma, African Queen, To Kill a Mocking Bird...and I am sure there are many more classics that could be added to the mix next.

I think everyone in the theatre fell in love with Gene Kelly all over again - it was absolutely magical to see him on the big screen. I've only ever seen him on TV, so it was wonderful - so handsome, so smooth, so debonair - and so funny, too! And Donald O'Connor - what a gem he is! The perfect role for a funny man with some amazing dance skills. Debbie Reynolds was darling, of course, and the whole thing was a wonderful dance down memory lane - several times the audience applauded after a musical or dance number! When do you see that in today's movies? We all left the theatre humming and wishing we had taken tap dance lessons!
