I loved this movie. It made me nervous for the two of them and it made me laugh out loud...with the rest of the movies goers. Thanks!

This film does a brilliant on every level: from illustrating the struggles of two broken characters coping with emotional and mental disorders to reminding us of the power of love and the joy of our own individuality.
Hollywood has finally produced a movie that is original, innovative, sharp, funny, and totally engaging without resorting to cobbled narratives from past box-office hits. The dialogue and characters ring true. Much like life, they steal your hearts and take you on an emotional ride that brings laughter and tears, but you are squarely in their corner the entire time. I highly recommend this cinematic jewel. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence leave no doubt that they have acting skills far superior to what they show in the Hang Over and Hunger Games franchises.

I found this to be a very enjoyable character-driven film. It's over-arching theme focuses on how we are all, in our own ways, "crazy." A true-to-life depiction of both bi-polar and depression. Excellent performances by Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence & Robert DeNiro. I loved the climax of the story; people in the theater I was in were actually clapping! This is a must see!

David O. Russell has always been one of my favorite directors. From his hits, like The Fighter, to his misses, I Heart Huckabees, Russell has always made highly intelligent, funny, deeply emotional movies. Silver Linings Playbook is his best effort to date and the best movie I've seen this year. The screenplay is so smart and tight, there is never a wasted line or scene. It perfectly walks the line between quick humor, to dealing with the savage pain and hurt we all feel in life at one point or another. The characters are crazy, messed up, and highly relatable if we're honest, I think. The score highlights the moments and emotions well and the acting is top-notch. Every actor has a chance to shine in this film with few cookie-cutter or two-dimensional roles in the cast. Russell has perfected his art of original wit and taking hard looks at humanity and our struggles as we try and understand and survive the reality we all find ourselves in. Go see it. You won't regret it.

The movie was very real. Bradley Cooper and Jjennifer Lawrence turned in tremendous performances. there were twopeople dealing with depression and anger issues. I can understand Patrick trying to get back with his wife that would be what most people do. His mother works on getting him interested in Jennifer Lawrence whic is a stroke of brilliance, his wife wasn't the person for him and like most people he thinks he will get her back. The two main characters have researched what it is like to have mental problems. they overcome their problems and find each other. It is a very intense and dramatic movie, it was neither sad nor funny. robert De Niro turns in a stellar performance as the father. The language was appropriate and it wan't meant to shock us.. There are times we use expletives to express ourselves but it wasn't every other word. The cinematography was good. The director captured the actions of fans at a football game it was real.
