I'm in love with Jennifer Lawrence - OK I said it. She had me at " I volunteer as tribute". Her performance opposite Bradley Cooper is multi-layered and unpredictable. I feel like I am watching a young Meryl Streep in Bridges of Madison County.
This movie is a must see! De Niro and Jackie Weaver are a great supporting cast. Bradley Cooper is stunning as a bi-polar patient coming to terms with his disease.
I actually thought about jogging again.

Wonderful story. Mental illness is rarely addressed in movies. Hope they show more of it in the future. We do have a lot of people with personality disorders that should be depicted in movies. The acting and the character development (Philli Eagle Fans) was superb. Jennifer Lawrence is a sexy fox!. My only negative is the use of the f---k word, whore and other crude comments, etc--- way too much. Crude, rude words were, in my opinion, often added to just shock the viewer. I supect the producers thought it would also be funny-I did not. It would have been a much better movie if less of the vulgur language was used in the dialogue. Then when it was used it would had a greater impact! I hope most Philli fans and families do not talk that crudely and rudely-at least I hope so.
Otherwise, a great funny, lovable movie with a great ending. My wife and I loved it!

We had seen previews, heard interviews and decided we need to check this movie out. Bradley Cooper is an amazing Actor. Each one of us said he needs to be nominated for an Academy Award. Jennifer Lawrence was excellent and held her own. and it is always a treat to watch Robert DeNiro
A great script, great acting. Do not miss this movie. See it in a theater.

A Philly hoot. Not what you expect at the start when you get to the finish. Reminded me of every Eagles season, and full of just the right amount of pathos to be truly enjoyable.
