A very different yet interesting movie. All the characters in this movie were excellent, from the leads down to the rest of the cast. Jennifer lawrence was great and Bradley Cooper can leave the dumb comedies behind him after this movie. I also though Robert DeNiro was very good and his mother was wonderful.

While the basic story line of this movie is nothing that hasn't been done a zillion different ways, the creativity of the characters, their development and the acting execution draws you in and holds you. You come to really like and root for the main characters, and there's that little sense of loss as the movie winds to an end, leaving you wanting more.

What a lovely "little move". Okay, the outcome is predictable...but happy endings are a treat these days. The acting is super...down to the smallest parts. The settings believable. The dialogue intelligent...even when it's poking fun at itself. A much better two hours than sseveral of this season's "major" pictures.

This is a fun movie. I loved the chemistry between Tiffany and Pat. This was a cute date movie. Tiffany and Pat were a little over the top, but a funny look at mental illness. DeNiro is always great and so was Delores his wife. I thought it was a great story that was played out well. I was surprised at the ending though.

The plot is a little all over the place but somehow it works. Jennifer Lawrence is magnetic...great to see her in this kind of role reminding us that sometimes a dance is enough to get us up to living when life has got us down. Bradley Cooper has a great performance as a romantic man struggling to get his life on track amongst his mental health issues. Robert Deniro as Cooper's father is great as he struggles to compensate for a lost pension (and lost relationship with his son) through a string of bets on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
