Not Better than the First

It was overall Boring. It did have some scenes where you jumped, or it was a lot of suspense, but defintely not worth the 15 dollars spent. -_- Wait for DVD or Netflix!

Great sequel!

This deserves an award I was very captivated , I love this film went to the theatres 3 times to go re-watch it, I must say you all have to go see it! Simply AMAZING ! I LOVE SILENT HILL!

Silent hill revelations hit theatres and I was not dissapointed what so ever, although I agree it should have been atleast 2 hours but yet I was satisfied with the actors,the story, and elements added ro silent hill revelations. THIS FAN IS 10/10 proud.

Good sequel

I recommend you watch the first movie. For this movie picks up a few years after the first movie ended and continues the story. This movie may not be as scary as the first but it's still good. This movie is definitely worth a watch!

Before I went to this movie, I read the plot line of the 1st installment of Silent Hill on wiki. I'm glad I did. It made all the difference in the world. I would have been lost without the refresher. As long as you familiarize yourself with the basic plot from the first movie, you'll be fine - and as a result enjoy the movie much more.

It was ok....

I enjoyed it at the early a.m. show. But I would have been upset if I had to pay full price. It just seemed like something was missing.

Good visuals

If you're a fan of the original this should work for you. But I liked the parts more than the whole. No real jumps and it lacks some creep factor. Loved the nurses as always. Would have loved a better look at the female blade demon. The visuals are great. The heroine was strong. It seemed rushed and too straight forward. She needed more answers to her and our questions. Good effects they needed more story to match.

Depressing follow up

Being a fan of the Silent Hill game franchise the first movie had a lot to live up to and in most cases it did. It did a fair job of translating the mood and atmosphere of the games onto film. Sadly the follow up, Silent Hill Revelations, failed in every aspect. It starts off with a very promising opening but quickly falls apart. This movie is an example of what happens when you pair a screenwriter and a director who obviously have no love for the source material. I will keep this spoiler free but to be frank all aspects of this story are either contrived, convoluted, or not necessary. We have a lot of buildup to a rushed, confusing, and disappointing ending. Everything fails in this movie, the cinematography, the visual effects, the acting, and even the sound design. This movie is a complete failure. This is a shame because the game franchise has some of the best backstory out there, instead of seeing this movie I suggest you purchase and play the games.

Wow!! I'm intellent and usually can figure out the plot, but this movie was so complicated that was impossible. Special effects were good, but to many. We're they in hell??

If you liked the first one, you will like the second one., they brought back the original cast, some movies you have to watch the first one again to under stand it, the 3D sucked, when Movie comes out I will buy it

Leave game fandom at home (Light Spoilers)

If you are expecting a faithful recreation of the silent hill franchise, then why the heck are you here?

The movie itself works well in its own universe with certain missteps (Why do you HAVE to rescue your dad when he tells you not to?). The only time I felt the monsters out if place was the one CG spider monster. If they just stuck to the more "practical" monsters it would be much better.
