... then you'll love the movie! If you haven't played the games, then I can see where the movie would seem disjointed, over use of gore, and just doesn't seem to make much sense. The movie was really a story involving several editions of the game. The character Heather looked and reacted exactly like the character in the game. The scene with the nurses was awesome! Not a game player, didn't make much sense at all. At the end, one of the character stays behind to find someone, and as a few characters leave there is a police escort with a prison bus going in to town. Perfect! Not a game, you wouldn't have a clue.

Silent Hill in 3D was awsome. I jumped a few times and swore it looked as if the swords and knives were gonna stab you. I loved how they also kept try to the game and how they showed how Rose got Shannon back into the real world with Harry. I thought it was really great and the best one that I seen that stayed true to the game. I do wish however that they would of had the roller coaster part of the game.

If you want to see SH3 morphed into a movie, sorry this aint it, but it does create a bit of a new and interesting story that follows the first movie, I am a big SH fan and I did enjoy this movie quiet a bit, i'm actually thinking of going again

Silent hill 2 definitely packed a punch in terms of the fear factor. Its predecessor was somewhat tamed compared to this installment of the film franchise. Some snippets of the game were portrayed including the all too familiar sequence from reality to run-for-your-life semi-reality which put the franchise on the marque for survival horror. There were a few dull moments particularly a broken storyline which diverted from the original game. But come to think of it the games story line was somewhat complex. Overall, it was an interesting movie experience worth the price of admission for those looking for a cheap thrill on the weekend.

The title says it all - the effects were well polished and the 3D was a MUST to see this movie. It wasn't the haloween scare-fest that it looked to be on the previews though. It was more like the old XBOX Silent Hill starring the same characters. From the sets to the costumes, and even the dialog, it all looked like the game brought to life.
That is the good, and the bad. The good - great sets, and costumes (the Nurses...Creepy!). The bad - the dialog and plot. Still...if you can catch a matinee or are feeling nostalgic for the game series - it is worth it.
