This movie was great to see on the big screen. I love silent hill since it first came out in 2006. The only downside was we saw in in Aud 11 which had a hole in the screen and it was on her face for the whole movie and NO ONE who worked there cared at all. And even when there was employees in the theater the people behind were opening soda cans and he just looked at them and walked out.

The movie itself wasn't really too bad. I was a little confused at the opening, but the movie cleared it up quick. The douchebags sitting behind us made a little less enjoyable, kicking our chairs and stuff. I really expected to see more cool 3D effects, but it was still decent.

Saw it with my best friend and it was ok but if you are looking for a good scare this is definitely not the movie for you. It was basically just a suspense movie to help make part one make sense

Overall this movie was alright and I had fun, but it was definitely a flawed film. A rushed pace, some poor uses (and versions) of popular characters, and a more "American" feel were the worst parts. However, the visuals were still awesome, the sets still creepy, and I really liked Adelaide Clemens as Heather Mason. To be honest, unless you were a Silent Hill fan before the first film, you may not enjoy this one much. All the tiny easter eggs left in this film for SH fans are what helped keep it from becoming a "meh" movie.

Wow, what a fun and entertaining Halloween film to visit!
My wife and I caught the early Thursday release prior to the main Friday. We were surprised at how many people filled the theater and responded to the special screening. We were pleasantly pleased when the lights dimmed and the eeriness began. A simple recap and off we were going, back to Silent Hill. The typical cast of creatures are back with the blind nurses offering up a very terrifying scene.
3D technology was up to speed and not overused as we have seen lately in some recent offerings. When the 3D kicked in, we were leaning left and right trying to avoid the onslaught. The most pleasant use of course really played out in the daylight. Walking through the town as ashes fell constantly, surrounding us and really creating and unusual bleak world.
Overall, this is a fun, late night film to take your date to in celebration of the October things that go bump in the night......
