    Silent Hill 2+1

    by MedRed

This movie is most closely based off of Silent Hill 3 with a little Silent Hill 1 thrown in.

Don't expect this movie to be like the first. It lacks the character development, plot development, and finesse of the first movie.

It creates more questions than it answers... and not in a good way. The poor plot is set up by dialogue that is so disjointed, that it is hard to make the leap of logic necessary to justify the actions of the characters. This all comes to a big WTF moment at the end of the movie.

The first Silent Hill movie is one of the very few movies that were worth being made from a video game. This movie doesn't attain that same status. At least it is better than the most recent Resident Evil movie.

I rate this so -so for those that played the video games and will appreciate the similarities and characters from the game. For everyone else... you might want to pass on it.

    AWESOME 3-D

    by Tdeaton

In the opening scene - I felt like ash was falling in my POPCORN! Great story line & twists, a little slow in the beginning - but really great later. Gotta LOVE the nurses!

    Horrible Waste of Time

    by

This movie was so boring several of us fell asleep during the movie. There really doesn't seem to be any interesting plot. Just seems to be some thread there to try and throw scary stuff out at you unexpectedly which wasn't all so unexpected. Save your money and go see a different movie.

    Not too bad ;)

I liked part one of silent hill movie. Part 2 people are seeming not happy, it's not a bad, I thought it was a good movie, if you are a silent hill fan I think you'll like it and work with the kinks., it's medium spooks to Intense. I Loved it in 3D! it's awesome to see Pryamid Head in 3D even though I know he's evil but seeing it in the theater was good and I got the feel as if I was in the game a few times. But everyone is different in regards to what they expect in a movie. I think we are to hopefully see a Part 3 Silent Hill movie and the way it left me feeling we are hopefully in for a surprise.

    Silent Hill

We watched this in 3D and REALLY LIKED IT A LOT. This sequel picks up where the first left off - it has some interesting twists and turns and nice special effects - the movie stands on its own and doesn't seem like it came from a video game. The daughter's character is cool, a bit edgy, courageous and empowered. You might say this is also kind of a "relationship movie" as well as as a horror movie, if you consider two kids from Hell trying to help each other, to be a relationship. I really enjoyed the quirky twists that kept me guessing. My standards for a movie are: was it entertaining? Quirky? Held my attention? Kept me guessing? And were the characters likable? I can answer YES across the board. My wife and I are horror movie fans and this has the potential to become an iconic series. The familiar falling ash is a great effect, it looks like the ash is falling in the theatre.

Silent Hill? More like Silent Hell.

If you are a fan of the original Silent Hill games, and you've seen how fear lurks around every corner, then you'll know that this movie was a great disappointment to fans worldwide.

With poor acting, scenes that aren't scary at all; including poor jump-scare attempts, and just things that make you want to say "Seriously?". Silent Hill Revelation 3D just wasn't Silent Hill, it was Silent Hell.

I went to see this movie with 2 others, and we were both sitting in our seats with the same expression on our face throughout mostly the entire movie. We didn't really say a word until the very end of the movie. The story was choppy and out of whack, the scares weren't really scary, however, it did strike some enjoyment. The 3D was pretty interesting at times, but there was nothing special about the movie in particular.

    Story: 2
    Enjoyment: 5

    Overall: 3.5/10

    Oh Dear....

It has been 6 years since the release of the first Silent Hill movie and fans have been eagerly waiting for a sequel. Now, we finally have one, and boy is it a let down. First off, this movie isn't so terrible as I'm making it seem. It did have "some" good acting in it. It also started off good. However, the spoiling of what would have been a good twist to those who have not played Silent Hill 3 could have been easily done without especially since it was made in the first 15 minutes. The character Vincent was introduced well, but he said a lot of really bold things to Heather Mason for someone that just met her such as "I don't want anything bad to happen to you." Once the characters made their way into Silent Hill, the story just started to get really messy. Heather started coming out of character, there were pop out scare tactics so cheesy even William Castle would have thought were corny.

    A spectacular sequel!

    by

An awesome follow up to the first movie! Silent Hill: Revelation 3D uses the 3D features brilliantly. The movie could have followed the third game a little closer, but all in all, definitely worth seeing on Halloween! The ending leaves you wanting more. Fans of the video game series will notice the game references and horror fans will love the new monsters. Don't miss it!

    Amazing

I really enjoyed the movie. I am a big fan of the Silent Hill video games and I like that the movie stayed true to the game. There was suspense and gore in the movie which I couldn't ask for more. I just wish the theater I went to didn't have annoying immature kids talking and laughing throughout the movie. Besides that, the movie was wonderful.

    not bad

    by

Story 7/10 the head of the order resisting Alessa doesn't make sense if shes a demon herself and Alessa was defeated by her daughter way too easily
Visuals 8/10 gotta admit the red pyramid vs the Lady of the order was cool and the nurses are hot as hell
Horror factor 6/10 nothing jumped at me as scary but the manaquine spider was creepy
Overall 7/10 I rate this as a strong B+ or A- a must go and may see again,

i realize bad horror movies kind of have a genre of their own, but i mean c'mon. this was terribad. like, walk-out-of-the-theater bad. except i paid $36 so i guess i'll stay and suffer. nonsensical plot. not a single scary moment. everyone associated with this project should be embarrassed and ashamed. you guys have to do better than this.

    Actually Interesting

Fans of the first film will love the return to Silent Hill. We get to see the continuation of the story in full 3D - and it's actually not as cheesy as you might expect. Here we find a tale about underground cults, alternate dimensions, and the splitting of souls. Fascinating stuff. The movie is not truly scary - but - the scenes when "the darkness comes" are genuinely unsettling. There are also some moments of very thick tension. There is enough reality injected to make the craziness seem almost plausible, The protagonist is lovable, yet very snarky and biting - as one would expect of someone raised by a single father and who has been on the run after the death of her mother. The ending is believable enough, and I appreciate the lack of a "last scare" scam. Nevertheless, I smell a sequel - after all there were several video games in this franchise.

Don't waste your time and money

I would rather play the games than watch this movie. At least I am involved and have fun playing the games. I have 5 games of Silent Hill but I fell asleep watching this movie half way through.

    Silent Hill 3D review

    by ADW218

Went to see this movie last night....Total FAILfor me. The acting was horrible. The graphics were good, they could have utilized the 3D aspect of movie way more than they did. There is acturally a HUGGING...yes HUGGING fight scene (for those who seen this movie know what I am talking about). I can usually deal with bad acting if the effects and graphics are good, but when all three are less than bad it becomes thumbs down all the way, Sorry for Silent Hill fans, but this could've been WAY better with all the effects and technology outlets that are available. I did enjoy the previews before the movie...
