    Shine a Light

    by singme

Awesome flick. The visuals, the audio, the old footage, wonderful. These guys are still rockin and i am lovin it. Mick and Jack White singing "Lovin Cup" is the best track, in my book. Jack White is smokin HOT. What a beautiful buzz!

    A Spectacle

Well the Stones have always been a spectacle, and often an experience. This performance as captured by Martin Scorcese is a wonderful snapshot that one day will remind those who did not get the opportunity to be a part of the Stones experience a bit of what it was like. The energy Mick Jagger exudes and the well crafted sound that seems to always border on trickling off into random engine noise are amazing. The only thing dated about this was the unfortunate choice of combing American elitism with the performance. I could care less why or who they were playing for, they probably could care less too.

    Shine a light

Wonderful footage. Pretty strong song selection. Great way to see the stage interaction. A little long. Best to see it at a theatr with an outstanding stereo sound system. Seeing it in a regular theatr is al ittle flat. The clips of old Stone interview footage are some of the best parts of the film.

Not too old to rock and roll

    by LadyHawke47

We saw Shine A Light a few days ago, and were thoroughly immersed in a rock concert, Scorsese?s brilliant and fluid camera work, and the beautiful sound. It was humbling, seeing these guys, older than I am, doing what they do. They don?t apologize, either. They make music. And there was Keith, disreputable as ever, playing that guitar.
There is no keyboardist like the late Nicky Hopkins, but I especially loved Jack White's take on "Loving Cup", which I cannot stop playing.

A Must for Stones or Scorsese Fans

Bravo to Martin Scorsese for bringing the same sensitivity to the Stones cocnert that he showed in his Bod Dylan bio and jazz films that have aired recently on PBS. Scorsese is the "Ken Burns" of the music film world!
