Brilliantly stark and gritty...

Enjoyed Dibakar Banerjee's Shanghai (2012); gritty, realistic, non-emotional portrayal; great, if subdued, acting by the cast - leaves some questions unanswered and some backgrounds unexplored, but the viewer is free to fill up those gaps as necessary. Banerjee has a finger on the pulse of the North Indian life, as evident from the earlier films from his oeuvre. Good and thought-provoking watch.

This movie is one of the third class movies I have seen... Don't know why they spend so much money for such a waste story... I would not recommend it to anyone....Watch at your own risk ...
