It was the best thing they could've done. The movie was great. I didn't feel lost like they changed everything completely. It was perfect.

I liked this movie although I didn't like the wedding (or lack thereof) scene.
I don't understand the renown and awe over this whole thing. Is it from the TV show? I don't watch tv so I can't be sure but I assume so. I saw the movie and what I saw was one woman who probably would actually have AIDS or a hell of an STD by now, one who just should stay married because although her husband is nothing special, he sure as hell will NEVER leave, one who's just got HORRIBLE clothes and a neck like a giraffe, and one who's got a filthy-rich BF who does nothing but stand around with a really smarmy grin on his face looking at her like he's her daddy and she's just cute enough to have sex with....or just keep like a little pet....IckOh, lest I forget. Jennifer Huston (of Dreamgirls renown)...in a role anyone can have acted in and which was also a putdown for personal assistants everywhere....
The amazingness of all the years of the show combined into one movie. Loved it.
