This movie has it's moments, but there are too few of them to make it a worthwhile film. It's loaded with attempts at dark humor, but most of it is just disturbing not funny.
If you think Sam Rockwell shooting his girlfriend in the stomach and leaving her to die, and then later joking that he's not such a bad guy because he didn't shoot her in the head and he called an ambulance is funny, then this film may be for you, because that's the "humor" typical of this film.

Great acting from Farrell, Rockwell, Harrelson and Walken. Loved the humor, some parts very dark but funny. It is a movie that people will love or hate. Definately worth seeing!

Saw this on a Sunday afternoon. The theater was about 1/4 full. As the movie progressed, people got up and left--there is a lot of blood, but you come to understand that it is over the top fake blood. You can close your eyes when someone is about to be slaughtered! Those of us who stayed really enjoyed it--very strange and funny. Great acting and dialogue, We laughed out loud countless times. Smart, interesting, paradoxical. Way better than the worst movie we have seen this season, The Master.

I really enjoyed this movie because I like movies with dark and quirky humor. This is a fast-paced well written move with a great cast. The audience cheered, laughed, and was surprised at several points in the film--which is always a good sign.

I know I'm watching a great movie, when I'm totally enjoying myself, and others are walking out. It's just not your every day movie....you get to see those every day...you get movies like this every 5yrs or so....
