Layers

This movie has layers. Not like an Ogre but still very complex. If you liked 'The Usual Suspects', 'Clay Pigeons', 'Fargo' you will like Seven Psychopaths. An Irish screenwriter and his best friend writing a movie script called.. Seven Psycopaths. It's strange, with people acting true to the characters they're playing but also straying away from what you'd expect from those characters. Just when you think you have a handle on the story a psychopath throws in a monkey wrench and you're lost again. Everyone turned in a stellar performance. Christopher Walken played a role that was a little more subdued than usual but characteristically odd. Woody Harrelson always makes me laugh even when he's a cold-blooded killer, and Sam Rockwell is probably the most interesting player in the story. He is, without doubt, one of the best character actors alive. Always different and very invested in his role. A definite Must See.

Psycho Entertainment

This is one fun movie to sit through. Sam Rockwell is his usual off-the-wall psycho self. He really drives the movie. Colin Farrell plays a wimpy screenwriter in this film and Sam Rockwell his muse. Throw in Christopher Walken, a natural-born-psycho if ever there was one, and you get the makings of what turns out to be an unpredictable, ballsy, loosely scripted serial killer movie that deals with such issues as writer's block, inexplicable dog-loving, the mob, and crazy girlfriends. I was entertained.

Wonderful nuttiness!

The cast and the rambling storyline are the two things that make this a great movie. A family sitting near us got up and left - no problem. We loved it. Hints of Pulp Fiction, but even more wacky. This movie somehow makes you laugh out loud while watching someone get sliced open. Walken is brilliant, and Farrel is a lovable alcoholic you get attached to.

Great non mainstream Movie

This is an adult movie and not for those adults who like twilight movies. The title of the movie is "Seven Psychopaths" not seven dwafs, meaning some of the scenes are going to be psychotic. The message of the movie is great and I think a lot people missed it because they we're looking fo cheap laughs and the movie didn't do well because of target audiences. Again, this movie is not meant for everybody and the buddist dream sequence scene was one of the best movie scenes of all time.

Great Fun, Great Acting,

My wife and I were chuckling throughout this clever and engaging movie. All the acting is spot-on and the plot keeps you interested the entire time. Many reviewers put this in the "Pulp Fiction" category and that is probably a decent comparison for the level of violence, but like Tarrintino films the violence is almost cartoonish and doesn't chnage what is essentially a funny movie.
