    Very funny must see

This was a lot funnier then I thought it would be. The dialogue seemed very realistic, which made it so funny. Of course the acting was very on par. Highly recommend it.

A movie about psychopaths making a movie about psychopaths.

    by mjjosep

I should not need to say more, but just in case the title does not do it for you... This movie was great. It had me laughing pretty much the entire movie. I am not saying everything is funny, but the parts the are funny have been spread out very well.

    Watched on DVD

    by

I actually like this a lot - however I can see where it is not for everyone, not everyone will be able to follow it. If you cannot follow shows like 'lost' or 'fringe' you may not want to watch. There are many story lines that intertwine but, not always obviously. Violence for sure - very funny one liners - Someone said it reminded them of Quentin Tarantino, I agree - If you like his movies (which I do) you will likely enjoy this.

    Seven Psychopaths

I'm not someone who cringes at a little violence in a film, but it would be nice if there was a decent story line to link the dead bodies. This movie was confusing and they doled out the back story in a weird fragmented way. I can count on one hand the movies I've walked out of in the past 20 years. This was one of them.

    Go see this

    by

In a genre much like that of LA Noire, this tale follows three men on a journey to find the perfect story for a screenplay. Combining multiple stories, the tale gives a view into the painful past of men who have ultimately loved and then lost themselves at the hands of one of the psychopaths.
As these three men run from an evil they unknowingly bring upon themselves, Seven Psychopaths is funny, charming, sad, and life affirming. I inserted a pun you wont understand until after you see the movie.
Go see this movie but don't expect funny one liners but do expect to laugh all the way through. It almost reminded me of a Quentin Tarantino flick from the mid 90's. I had fun.

I want those 2 hours of my life back!

At this writing, 97% positive Tweets about this movie....really???????

The only reason I rated it NO instead of OH NO is because I am a huge fan of Christopher Walken....

Love dark quirky edgy humor...not squeamish about gore/profanity....but I agree with other reviewers. The best moments of the movie are those presented in the trailer/TV clips....I too am a fan of Quentin Tarantino/Coen Bros movies and opted for this film over other fare opening the same weekend after reading the comparisons. I expected one clever humorous surprise after another, along with an awesome soundtrack, a la Tarantino. Lesson learned--only Quentin Tarantino can make a Quentin Tarantino movie.

One positive reviewer used the term "side-splitting". I only laughed out loud a couple of times--at MYSELF, for actually paying good money and dragging 3 others with me to see such mediocre fare. I see a new movie nearly every Sunday...realize they can't all be winners. But this one REALLY disappointed.

    A funny,bloody psychopath movie...

Did everyone on here think this movie was going to be hearts and roses? Please it's about pschos but with funny moments...We (5) loved it. It is NOT a movie for children. It was bloody and then a joke would pop up as you finally realize who the psychos really are. You have to be warped a little to understand this movie. You have to be a connoisseur of sarcasm and blood to enjoy this movie. ALL the actors were believable in their parts. Sam Rockwell was the best! But then so was Walken and then so was Farrell but Woody was great too.Going again this coming weekend ....Does Bonnie live?

    twisted fun

    by

The acting was incredible. Everyone engulfed there psychopath character including Sam Rockwell's brillant performance. It's very different from most movies, but it does give off a inglorious bastards type vibe with it's very dark humor and the gory, over the top violence. It is a very funny movie but you have to understand and like the sick and twisted humor which is a lot of people including myself. Very well made film, great cast, intresting plot, worth seeing in theatres, 8 out of 10.

    Seven Psychopaths

Outstanding film...all the performances are fantastic. While bloody at some points this is one fine picture...plot is interesting and the acting superb. It was a totally wonderful experience for me.

    Seven Psychopaths

I read all the reviews before seeing the movie and was totally disappointed. It did not live up to any of the reviews, and we walked out half way through. It was rated as a comedy and the only laughs we got were laughs of relief as we left! Save your money, do not see this movie!

    Not just any Seven Psychopaths

    by mjd1940

This movie is interesting and different, combines lots of weird laughs and bloody scenes. Not a flick for everybody but at least it's not a sequel, a remake, a comic book movie, or a cartoon. No 3d -- guaranteed! Not for kiddies or grandma. Maybe for grandpa since that's what I am. To get the gist of this flick, just look at the cast: Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, and Christopher Walken. Put those last three guys in the same movie and what do you have? It ain't Mary Poppins, that's for sure. Very entertaining and I can't wait to see it again on video.

    Seven Psychopaths

Laughed a lot through the whole film, right up to the end - a real riot with so much over-the-top humor...went with a couple of my girlfriends and we all agreed it was a "must see"! Plan on taking the guys!

    Not very funny

This movie has it's moments, but there are too few of them to make it a worthwhile film. It's loaded with attempts at dark humor, but most of it is just disturbing not funny.

If you think Sam Rockwell shooting his girlfriend in the stomach and leaving her to die, and then later joking that he's not such a bad guy because he didn't shoot her in the head and he called an ambulance is funny, then this film may be for you, because that's the "humor" typical of this film.
