Seeking a friend at the end of the world is a marvelous movie. Steve Carrell plays the role of a detached man as only he could. Kiera Knightly is also great. The scene of her on a satellite phone allows her to display her acting talents. The movie is funny and sad and really honest.

Great Movie, I thought it was going to be a comedy. More of a very thoughtful and moving love story. Prepare to get teary eyed. Go SEE it!

Whenever I see people carrying signs that "the end is near" I think "I hope not". Sitting through this movie I found myself thinking "just get it over with already.". A story about lost opportunities - sadly that describes the execution of this movie.

Left me flat

I liked the story and the acting was good, but I felt no real chemistry between the two main characters which left me feeling flat. I didn't feel the fear, love, sadness, or hope that apparently I was supposed to feel with them during the last few weeks of life. It left me feeling disappointed. However, it made for good conversation you would spend the last two weeks of life if everyone's life was going to end at the same time?

Slow at times, but one of the best love stories I have seen. A lot of humor, but very eye opening about things that would happen if the end were near. Kira as a great actress and beautiful. Dont go expecting a roll on the floor type of comedy, or a "Note Book" type of tear jerker, or even a sci-fi thriller like "Deep Impact" it is a bit of all three in one. Very toucing.
