Though based on a webtoon, it may seem that it should have been more serious. How can such a topic allow for any humor? Raw-humanity trumps the story of the conflict itself. I appreciate how Korean directors humanize characters. It is a nice change from most Hollywood-fare. You will really care about the main characters in this movie and what becomes of them as a result. There is a gross part, which oddly helps to show the centerpiece as a real person, not a North robot. There plot holes are filled-in with a simply-stated reality. North Korea's government is often irrational, so their actions and decision are unpredictable. Life isn't perfect in any nation, but some are worse. The movie has an issue with the leaders, not the people. The main character is a North spy, not by choice. A nice officer tries to help him. However, both governments want him gone to avoid an incident that could lead to war. Wonder how much has been mutually swept away over the years?

Throughout this movie i loved kim soo hyun character that had to deal with staying detached. Hyun woo and Ki Woong were great when it came to opening him up and trying to adjuct to life in the South. There were many comic moments, i thought that there bromance between was beautifully put. I of course cried at the end, i was not the only one in the theatre who cried. This was a great movie to watch i definitely recommend it.
