It's an ok movie....

I was expecting more action. There is good acting in the movie, especially Benecio Del Toro. But overall I wanted something more. I read the comments before seeing the film. I thought Blake Lively was fine in her role. Selma Hayek was good. The plot was okay. Overall the film seemed like something from Steven Soderbergh's Traffic, something from Quentin Tarantino, and Stone's Natural Born Killers. The movie had its tense moments, but it lacked tension throughout. There should have been more action, and more humor interspersed. It's not a bad movie. It's definitely not a "must go" film. Somewhere between "go" and "so-so."

I was a little hesitant to see the movie because i read about a lot of violence. It wasn't as bad as I thought (gore-wise) and I really liked the story line. I still find it a little hard to believe that she is with two guys who are best friends, but still really enjoyed the movie. The acting was phenomenal, especially Selma Hayak. She was probably the best part of the movie, especially her interactions wtih Blake Lively. I would see it again - the story was so quick it was a challenge to keep track.

1. If the script has the title of the movie in the dialogue...take it out! 2. Blake lively is smoking hot, but a horrible actress. 3. Hire the company that created your trailer, re-edit your movie and re-release it. I was extremely disappointed in this film. - Refund Please

You can't go wrong with a movie that has this kind of stardom. It is action packed, some scenes are a bit rough to watch but it is an Oliver Stone movie so you have to expect some action. I would highly recommend watching it on the big screen.

Not Worth the Price of Admission

Savages falls short of a film that I feel was worth the high price of admission tickets. I think I should have waited until it came out on DVD. Although the film was a good action movie, it failed to meet the expectations that an Oliver Stone film would deliver. It was mindless entertainment at its best, but thats not always what you want in film.
