Japan is entering the Edo period and society is in conflict. The values of old clash with the values of new and out of the turmoil emerges an oppressive shogun who rules with beatings, imprisonment, rape, and murder. The violence and injustice has been building for too long, and now a group of samurai have come together to pool their ideals, their skills, and the newest and most effective technology to free the people from the evil shogun's iron grip.
