    Definitely (Not) the best Nicholas Sparks movie

    *Disclaimer* I am a male.

    Took my wife to see this on Valentines Day and while she really enjoyed it, I was overly indifferent about it. On the way home, when she couldn't understand why it wasn't my favorite movie ever, I said "Okay, imagine my scale or list of movies I enjoy. How far down the list do you think Nicholas Sparks movie rank? And this is (at best) the 3rd best Nicholas Sparks movie I've seen." I understand that I'm not the target audience for this movie and I'm good with that. I'm simply trying to warn other guys out there when their significant others attempt to talk them into seeing the movie because "it has the guy from Transformers in it".

    Not bad

    I've seen the other Nicholas Sparks movies and didn't care for them as much as this one. "Safe Haven" has a different quality to it than the others. I like that there was more to it besides the romance between the two main characters. I didn't read the book, so I had no expectations, but it also could have been the directing. Very good directing. Not extraordinary, but I recommend it if you enjoy Sparks' plot twists.
