    Action packed

    by

What you would expect from a Jason Statham movie. Lots of action. Fast moving pace. I wish they would have spent a couple more minutes on the history of the main character. There could have been better stunts but the fight sense were excellent. I came out of the movie satisfied.

There were a lot of families with kids. I thought it was inappropriate for the young kids to be seeing all the violence and language. There's a lot of gun fire and a lot of people being killed.

Safe ... A Safe bet for those who like his transporter movies

    by Darkola

Jason Statham movies for me are either hit or miss, I really liked the Transporter movies, but really hated the Crank movies, so the good news is, this movie reminded me of his Transporter movies, this is a movie about him protecting a girl he ran across in a subway that he realised was in trouble, and others were looking for her. He is great in these kind of movies when it comes to the action, and there is plenty of that in here to keep you satisfied, the story itself is a pretty decent story, not to far fetched .... as I said, if your a Transporter fan, then this is a must see, I'd give this 3 of 4 stars myself.

Very satisfying violence, and a decent plot to boot!

The soundtrack and music fit the scenes and choreography well. The plot was decent and mostly believable. But, the gun violence was most satisfying in FINALLY seeing the bad guys eliminated sans the protagonist hemming and hawing over doing the deed.

    Safe

It was slow at the beginning, action packed almost to the end, too short and would should have take some sort of trip to Seattle and what life for the "two friends" was there.

    Stay Safe - Stay home......

I usually enjoy Jason Statham movies - bubble gum action movies, but entertaining. Safe however was not "da' bomb", but rather a bomb. It was mind numbing violence - mixed with a plethora of sub stories that simply did not mesh or make any credible sense - hard to follow with characters that that were so under developed they simply took up space in the film.

Even the main character of Statham and the Chinese girl Mei, were thrown together with so little emotional glue you were left to wonder how it was exactly that "she saved" him. He inexplicably speaks perfect Russian with a voice that is readily accepted to be that of a dead Russian mafia grunt, goes from a NYPD detective to a freakishly talented but yet incapable cage fighter over night, to dial a dad - just a fraction of the inept story line in this ridiculous and wholly implausible film.

    Adrenalin Rush

Jason Statham is dynamite in this police vs. mob action thriller. The movie builds up at the beginning like a tease, knowing that the action is coming soon, and once it does it's almost non-stopped.

There's none of the "shoot him in the leg to just wound him" type action, it't all in the back of the head and between the eyes type with 44's and 45's.

By the time the movie is over your heart rate has jumped and your on the edge of your seat.

It's a definite "Must Go"! There's no nudity, but even though there are so many violent video games that kids play, it's really not appropriate for kids under 16, the faint of heart, sensitive liberals or for date night.

Won't win an Academy Award, but the acting is credible, and the directing, staging and camera work is professional quality.

    SAFE-ly a great movie!

Statham & Co. ROCK! -- and so does this well-paced, rarely-a-dull-moment film. The beginning is a bit hard to reconcile with the rest of the story, but once the two main characters make contact the film takes off and never stops delivering. 9+ out of 10.

    Typical Jason Statham Movie

I enjoy most of Jason Statham movies. Safe is no different. All of his movies are similar, they just improve on the fight scene and car chase in each one. I don't go into his movies expecting Oscar-type performances. I like to hear the corny lines and see him crack skulls. You will get plenty of that in this movie.

    SAFE

    by

I LIKED THIS MOVIE AS I'M A BIG FAN OF TRANSPORTER(S) WITH JASON S. A LOT OF ACTION WITH REVENGE AGAINST THE BAD GUYS.
ONLY THING THAT OCCASIONALLY BOTHERED ME AND THIS HAS HAPPENED IN "HUNGER GAMES" TOO WAS THAT THE CAMERA WORK AND SO MUCH ACTION MADE IT HARD TO SEE WHAT WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. (WHO WAS WHO,ETC)
I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE WAY MOVIES ARE GOING TO BE MADE NOW AND IN THE FUTURE AND MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE OF THE BIG SCREENS AND DIGITAL CAMERAS DO THIS.
    OTHERWISE IT WAS GREAT.

    Jason Statham "Safe" Movie

He's the reason why we went to see it. All his movies are a sure guarantee of action, showcase his fighting skills, and compassion for other people. It was fantastic from beginning to end. We loved it!

    Typical Jason Statham Flick

I wasn't expecting much when I walked in to see this movie and when I walked out I was mildly entertained. It has it's moments, mostly when Jason Statham is beating up the bad guys with his close combat moves but other than that don't expect to be blown away. The plot itself is decent so for those who like this actor and genre of film, it's a judge for yourself one.

    Jason Statham's Streak Continues

The man has made nothing but watchable entertainment for a decade now. This is another eminently entertaining action movie that puts him rightfully in the same category as Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis. Actually, Jason Statham is a better actor than those guys.

Without giving away any spoilers, this movie features a very satisfying level of violence that hearkens back to the "good" Steven Segal movies. Not bloody, but a bloody good amount of justice served with a kick....literally!

    Safe

Jason Statham is equally adept at roundhouse kicks and existential brooding. And while not every Statham vehicle is created equal, Safe is better than most; though it's formulaic to the bone, the film is gritty and exciting thanks in large part to its star's charisma and acrobatics. Statham stars as Luke Wright, an ultimate fighter who botches a fixed fight, drawing the ire of the mafia. However, when he rescues and protects a 12-year-old girl with valuable information in her head, the two are pursued by both mobsters and corrupt government officials. Safe is really predictable, but it's an efficient, tough yarn that should satisfy adrenaline junkies.

Good action but not much else.

    by DJF

You know what you're getting with a Jason Statham movie. And if you expect that, it's a very enteraining movie. The plot is interesting enough but it'll make you think twice about visiting New York City. With that said, it's Hollywood and that's what you get.
