Of course nothing beats seeing Rush live, but this is as good as it gets otherwise!

RUSH Still rocks!

If there was any way that you could improve this showing, it would be by including the first half of the show. I understand that this viewing was to emphasize the Clockwork Angel album, and the second set does this. The performance is great and the sound captures the "live" effect very well. I attended the real show, live in Virginia Beach, and the sound was almost identical. The inclusion of the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble in this tour greatly enhances both the sonic and visual experience. It's hard to describe how much these eight performers add to the show. This viewing also included several shorts before the show and some documentary material after. Overall, a great show! If you didn't see it, get the Blu-Ray/DVD!

My husband loves RUSH and has been a fan for years. When they came to CA last year we couldn't go to the concert, because we were getting ready for our cruise. This was such a nice alternative to the real thing, and we got more than we paid for.

Great concert event, except for one thing

It was great that some theaters were able to show this concert by one of rock music's absolute top bands. In a way, being able to sit comfortably in a theater and see the many angles to an event such as this is the ultimate way to enjoy a concert. However, there was one very important thing that was amiss. The sound quality of this event was not good at all! The volume was much too loud. Also, I thought seeing this presentation in a theater would provide for a better audio experience than a concert hall, but sadly that was not the case. Somebody really should have been paying attention to the sound, especially since that was such a big part of this event! When it comes to the visual aspect of the show, and the energy, skill, humor and talent that Rush has, all of that was top-notch! It was also nice to be able to enjoy some "behind the scenes" footage. All in all, a tremendously satisfying experience that could have been perfect with a little more attention to the sound.
