Iron Man 2: While we wait for more interesting photos from Iron Man 2 to arrive online, we shall instead present you with this odd image of Tony Stark sitting in a donut shop in his Iron Man suit minus the helmet. How or why Iron Man arrives at the donut shop with enough time to sit down and partake in a tasty treat is beyond us, but color us interested to see what comes next (perhaps a stop off at the local Burger King?)

Entertainment Tonight appears to be milking their Iron Man 2 set visit for all it's worth, dumping not one, not two, but three videos online – featuring interviews with practically the entire cast (Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Favreau) and footage of Mickey Rourke's villainous Whiplash in action on a racetrack, which looks to be the film's first big action sequence.

Could the next Iron Man installment arrive in 3D? That's what AICN is saying after their sources told them about a minute of Iron Man 2 footage that was converted to 3D and wowed studio execs. So, now, folks at Marvel and Paramount are feverishly crunching numbers to see if they'll be able to convert the film to 3D for the right price and in time for its May 7, 2010 release date.

Disney Buys Marvel for $4 Billion!

In what looks to be a mega deal, the Walt Disney Co. has acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion in stock and cash, giving Disney ownership over Marvel's 5,000-or-so characters, including Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and The X-Men. There's no immediate word on how this will impact the upcoming Marvel slate of movies, like Captain America, Thor and The Avengers (which are being distributed by Paramount, who also just lost DreamWorks), but what was a creative process that took place entirely in-house -- allowing Marvel to decide what happened to Marvel characters on screen -- could turn into a more collaborative effort with Disney, who are known for wanting to keep their films family friendly.

Mickey Rourke: Sport helped me pick myself up

Mickey Rourke blames himself for being out of spotlight for over a decade but says his early interest in sports gave him a spirit that allowed him to pick himself up.

The 57-year-old actor confessed to an audience at the Sarajevo Film Festival on Thursday that he was out of work for almost 14 years because he did "not behave properly, like a professional, I wasn't real responsible." Marvel.com recently revealed an image of the Iron Man villain Whiplash in anticipation of a new comic series that will debut on stands this November. The series will re-introduce the villain to the world prior to the big-screen release of Iron Man 2 – and with that comic comes a pretty kick-asstastic piece of art detailing the new, updated Whiplash.

Mickey Rourke's swinging comeback on the big screen has Marvel reportedly offering him $250,000 to sign on as the main villain in Iron Man 2. Excuse me? Did I read that right? The man just received an Oscar nod for The Wrestler and won his first Golden Globe—and Marvel's only offering $250,000? I know the economy's bad, but that's ridiculously cheap. Iron Man made $582 million worldwide. If Marvel's offer was legit, I think they can afford to spend a little more chump change! It's this kind of offer that made Samuel L. Jackson turn down the Nick Fury role in the same movie.

The buzz for the first "Iron Man" film began at Comic-Con, director Jon Favreau said, so he thanked fans for their support by showing an exclusive clip from next summer's sequel.

"Nobody cared before you guys did," Favreau told a capacity crowd inside the San Diego Convention Center's largest assembly hall Saturday. Then he rolled the clip, which introduced the film's anticipated new characters. Read more Iron Man news.

And now people, for the main event! The line outside Hall H now wrapped and wrapped and wrapped again. Everyone waiting was summarily told they weren't getting in--the Hall was at capacity with some 6,000 people.

Jon Favreau comes out, looking like a rock star with flashbulbs going off and an enormous cheer from the crowd. A few words from the moderator, and then...out comes Robert Downey Jr. in sunglasses, and the crowd goes wild! The two led the audience in a chorus of "Happy Birthday" for Favreau's little boy.
