Oh you read that correctly – two of our generation's most beautiful, seductive and charming actresses are now set to appear opposite one another on the big screen as a pretty unique pair of lovers. Both ladies will star in a film called The Danish Girl, which is based on David Eberschoff's novel and will be directed by Tomas Alfredson, who wowed audiences last year with his vampire flick Let the Right One In. If you managed to catch Saturday Night Live over the weekend, then you probably watched this week's host, Taylor Swift, poke a little fun at Twilight in a parody trailer for a film called Firelight. Here, instead of a girl falling deeply in love with a vampire, Swift plays a girl who, aside from biting her lip, like, a lot, falls for Frankenstein. Oh yes, when "The Franks" invade a small town high school, things take a drastic turn for the weird as our heroine does all she can to keep her relationship with Frankenstein going without being accidentally strangled by her one true love. On November 13th, Roland Emmerich's latest end-of-the-world epic hits theaters, and it's called 2012. This time around Emmerich isn't using his big budget to fight aliens or global warming – instead, 2012 shows us what happens when the ancient Mayan prophecy springs to life and the world actually comes to an end in the year 2012. Yeah, in case you couldn't tell, this one's a bit of a downer. But that's not stopping Emmerich, writer Harold Kloser and producer Mark Gordon from wanting to extend 2012 to the small screen for a tie-in TV series about what happens after the world is destroyed.
