Much has been said about how the Twilight Saga is fond of letting their leading men run around with no shirts on. Well, now, the folks behind what some consider to be Twilight's biggest competition are looking to take things one step farther.

Speaking to press about the two-part franchise finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, director David Yates claimed that Mr. Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) would be appearing in a scene, sans clothes. Says Yates, "There is another scene in King's Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked." Seems a little odd to feature Harry Potter naked in a scene, though keep in mind this will...

Read Comments

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/harry-potter-naked-do-tell-586002.html?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841

Fandango Movie Blog

Scoop This: 'Avatar' Song, Portman as Ballerina and Michael Bay's Victoria's Secret Commercial

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841#586000

'Avatar' Theme Song – Is it Better Than 'Titanic'?

The theme song-of-sorts for James Cameron's Avatar has finally arrived online. It's called "I See You", and it's performed by Leona Lewis. Like Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic, "I See You" is another slow romantic tune that's sure to land an Oscar nod (but may be a little too boring to actually win that Oscar). Lewis certainly sounds good belting out these lyrics, but, unlike Dion's song, there's just nothing catchy about this one. Here, listen to it below and let us know what you think.

It seems every time a new rumor pops up, it's a different outlet running it. Now Movieline (who've previously been silent on all things Spidey) claim that The Powers That Be are eying both John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway for roles in the fourth installment.

We already knew about Hathaway (her name popped up in Rumorville last month), but Malkovich – who was at one point negotiating to star as Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man movie – is new to the casting circle, and is said to be looking at playing a villain named The Vulture, a deadly killer who uses his sharp wings and flying ability to slice and dice his way through our hero. Meanwhile, the studio wants Hathaway to star as Felicia...

Read Comments

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/more-spiderman-4-rumors-malkovich-and-hathaway-585999.html?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841

Fandango Movie Blog

DVD of the Week: 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'; plus: 'Public Enemies,' 'Julie & Julia,' 'The Cove'

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841#585998

The Harry Potter series continues strong as ever with this sixth installment, which some argued took the title of best Potter movie away from Prisoner of Azkaban thanks to its beautiful cinematography, matured characters and sly humor. This time at Hogwarts the wizards and witches are hooking up, and while he’s dealing with his own crush on Ron’s sister, Harry has to keep an eye on crafty Snape and Draco and extract a secret from a new teacher, Slughorn.

Director David Yates deftly weaves big, effects-laden scenes with smaller, more intimate moments, keeping an even pace. And while the magic never takes a back seat per se, it serves as more a backdrop and accent than as the movie's focal point, making the whole thing feel more...

Read Comments

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/dvd-of-week-harry-potter-and-halfblood-prince-plus-public-enemies-julie-julia-cove-585998.html?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841

Fandango Movie Blog

'Avatar' IMAX Poster and T-shirt Giveaway!

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841#585922

Can't wait to see James Cameron's Avatar in IMAX 3D!? Speaking during a BD-Live event for Salvation (which is a way for filmmakers to answer questions – and for fans to communicate with each other -- through a special Blu-ray feature), McG kinda announced that he'd be helming a part five and six of the franchise, though this information is only based off some live-blog commentary from Gizmodo – meaning it hasn't been officially confirmed and McG could've been simply talking out of his you know what.

Based on the lucrative Mattel toy line that eventually spawned an animated series, Lautner’s name is currently circling the lead role of Josh McGrath, a 19-year-old extreme-sports fanatic whose body accidentally becomes fused with nanotechnology, which then gives him superhuman abilities like enhanced speed, superior strength, cloaking and invisibility. There’s a Marilyn Monroe movie in the works, and though Scarlett Johansson was at one time tapped to play the iconic actress, Production Weekly has reported (via their Twitter feed) that none other than Michelle Williams is now in talks to play Monroe. We’re not sure what happened to Johansson or why she’s no longer associated with the project, but we’re kinda stoked that Williams is now the frontrunner.

While she might not seem sexy and sensual enough to play a young Marilyn Monroe, I think Williams has come a long way from her debut on Dawson’s Creek and has carved out a very enticing career as of late – to the point where it won’t be long before we see her take home an Oscar, and you can...

Read Comments

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/scoop-this-williams-as-marilyn-monroe-spielberg-ditches-harvey-and-best-trailers-of-09-585903.html?wssac=123&wssaffid=11841

Fandango Movie Blog
