What a delight to be able to see the Royal Ballet on the big screen. We were in London in October and attended Don Quixote at the Royal Opera House. It is a wonderful venue, but you don't see close up shots like on the screen. How wonderful to be able to see this great company near home and at a reasonable price.

This was a showing by the Royal Opera House Live. The ballet was excellent and I really enjoyed not only the whole enstage performance, but the backstage interviews and peeks. I will definetly come back to see other productions from the ROH, ballet and opera and any other theatrical showings.

I thought Giselle was outstanding in all aspects of judging. The cinemotography, music, costuming all made the excellent cast even more enjoyable. Spoils one for local ballet presentations/

Giselle is a wonderful classic ballet. Full of athleticism and artistry. The Royal Ballet's production was beautifully staged and filmed. My only criticism is the amount of close ups. It is a ballet! We want to see more of the dancing from the audience's vantage point. That's how they are meant to be viewed. Natalia Osipova and Carlos Aosta are beautifully paired.

Osipova and Acosta must be seen -- both of them exquisite dancers and brilliant actors. Very special to see a white, black-haired Giselle with a Black, Cuban Albrecht. Great casting!!!! But a very important part - Myrtha the queen of the Wilis, HIKARU KOBAYASHI, repeatedly muffs her steps. A big miss in an otherwise impeccable performance. I've been unable to learn who the female soloist in the first act was in this performance. Very sketchy cast information is available. But I want everyone (especially her) to know how terrific she was.
