Soon after hopping off a bus from the Midwest, aspiring singer Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) immediately finds herself in trouble. Was OK. seemed like it was TRYING to copy Burlesque, and I'M so sorry but there is NO way that Juliane Hough could EVER EVER compare to the looks or voice or talent of Christina Aguilera! Calling...

Doesn't require anyone to love metal, or even like it. It only requires us to laugh at it - and other exemplars of bloated '80s pop, from Starship to Journey - and it does so with a campy and attitudinous spirit that's hard to resist. Read full review
